Worst Catering Experience – Completely Ruined Our Function Sri Mayyias Caterers caused immense stress, tension, and embarrassment during our function. From morning till evening, it was chaos, mismanagement, and complete lack of responsibility. Breakfast was scheduled for 7:30 AM but arrived only around 9:30–10:00 AM — a shocking 2-hour delay. Anyone hosting a function knows how critical morning timing is. This single delay itself ruined the mood of the entire day and put us under tremendous pressure in front of guests. Despite repeated calls, there was no proper response, no coordination, and no accountability. The nightmare continued. 11:00 AM snacks were delayed, adding more frustration. Lunch was extremely disappointing, both in quality and execution. One of the curries was so bitter that it was completely inedible. The curd was poorly prepared, with mustard seeds in almost every spoon, making it very unpleasant. This kind of food is absolutely not worthy of a function. To make matters worse, food items were sent that we never ordered, clearly showing they did not care about the agreed menu at all. There was no service worth mentioning — guests had to serve ice cream themselves, which is unacceptable at a catered event. Staff were unresponsive, unplanned, and disorganised. We were constantly running behind them instead of focusing on our function, which was mentally exhausting. And lastly was dinner. We had clearly informed in advance that dinner needed to be packed early for guests leaving by train. Despite this, parcels were given late and Several guests had to leave without food, which was deeply embarrassing and upsetting for us as hosts. Overall, this was a terrible, stressful, and emotionally draining experience. A caterer’s job is to reduce tension during an event — Sri Mayyias Caterers did the exact opposite. Poor planning, zero coordination, repeated delays, bad food, and complete disregard for the customer. Absolutely not recommended for any important function. Their social media looks paid and not real.

We feel fortunate to have hired Sri Mayyia Caterers for our wedding. They were just so hospitable and kind while they were serving food to our guests. Also, they curated a menu for us that represented me and my husband’s families, and that’s what I love the most about them. Their food was amazing and delicious. We highly recommend you to everyone out there!
