Tales by the Tides

I am Nishtha’s and Tushar’s friend and I personally checked the printed album — the quality was really disappointing. Some photos were printed right through the center fold, and the overall finish felt cheap and rushed. Even if the PDF layout was approved, it’s the vendor’s responsibility to ensure the final printed album looks professional. A wedding album holds sentimental value and should reflect care and quality but sadly this one didn’t.

Nishtha and Tushar are my friends. When I saw their wedding album, I was completely shocked that how can a photographer deliver such a bad album. Even though PDF draft was approved, the final delivered album was totally different. Unlike approved pdf, so many pictures had bride’s half cut face, guest’s pictures were cut and quality of paper was so bad. It appeared that they had done binding of album without seeing whose face is cutting and how pictures are looking. Even an amateur person will not do a work like this. Wedding albums are the most important memory of someone’s wedding and Ashok and his team have just ruined it completely.

A deeply frustrating and disappointing experience. Choosing Tales by the tides / Ashok Verma for our wedding was a serious mistake. From start to finish, the process was riddled with poor execution, broken commitments, and a complete absence of accountability. The album was a disaster—sloppy design, misaligned layouts, and low-grade materials that were nowhere near what was promised. We were not consulted on key design elements, and the final product felt rushed and careless. The team was not deployed as agreed. Key members were missing during major events, which directly impacted the coverage of important moments we can never get back. What made this experience even worse was the vendor’s consistently defensive attitude. Every time we raised a concern, instead of listening or taking responsibility, they deflected blame—onto us, the lighting, or other irrelevant factors. There was zero willingness to own mistakes or make genuine improvements. Communication felt like a battle rather than a collaboration. I trusted this vendor based on glowing reviews, but my experience was the complete opposite. If you're considering them, be warned: the professionalism and quality they advertise are not what you’ll receive. Absolutely not recommended.

Having Ashok as our wedding photographer was one of the best decisions we made in our wedding. From the first meeting with Ashok we knew that working with him we need not worry about a thing. Ashok's work speaks for itself, what he gave us in pictures and memories is nothing short of stunning. He understands how to use the decor and props to deliver such beautiful pictures. The way he uses lights to bring out amazing pictures, where we think there is nothing, is completely masterful. By the wedding Ashok and his team became like family to us, we could ask them things you do not ask people professionally. They were available when we were and they weaved their work into whatever time we could be available. I am glad that out of all, we chose Tales by the Tides.

I had an absolutely amazing experience with Ashok and it was a great decision to have him and the team cover our wedding. Ashok is someone who is very open to working with people in terms of ideating what a person is looking for. We had multiple meetings with him to discuss the overall vision that we had for the pictures and he very patiently took all feedback in account. His team, especially Ria, Saurabh and the videographers are all very skilled and very warm to have around in your most cherished moments. The pictures have come out extremely well and I would highly recommend having Ashok as your wedding photographer.

Ashok and his team made our dream come true. The team of Tales by the Tides is very talented, agile, punctual and they deliver way beyond expectations. They were not just vendors, they became our family. They captured the smallest of the moments in the most beautiful manner. What stood out for me and my husband was how Ashok and his team went above and beyond (pls note: they were actually capturing our behind the scenes dance practices at 1 am!!) in each and every function. Great humans, supremely talented individuals. Hiring Tale by the Tides was our best decision!

Ashok and his team is best at what they do - capture beautiful moments amidst all the chaos of a wedding. I was a bit sceptical before I met Ashok but the day I met him I could see photography wasn't just a business for him, it is his passion. And it shows in his work. He has been super helpful in guiding us throughout the entire process and making us comfortable. Making sure it was all natural and not some fabricated reality. I am glad we picked Ashok and his team to capture our wedding. It was well worth it. Just take a look at his Instagram page or his website to get an idea of his work but also talk to him to get an idea of his process. You cannot go wrong with him.
