AVOID Wedding Planner Priyanka Gupta (Tips INDIA) – Especially if you are an NRI Bride Hiring Priyanka Gupta was hands down the worst decision we made in our entire wedding planning journey. We cut ties with her just two months before our wedding due to her dishonesty, incompetence, and incredibly unprofessional behavior. She completely misrepresented her business—claiming she ran her own in-house production team when in reality, she outsources everything and operates under someone else. She doesn’t even have her own setup. From the start, she was disorganized, unreliable, and dismissive. She frequently missed meetings, showed up late, never kept notes, and often acted as though she was doing us a favor. She was rude, rolled her eyes during conversations, made faces, and was emotionally immature—completely incapable of handling feedback or having difficult conversations like a professional. Trying to discuss important matters like payments led to her throwing tantrums, blocking us on WhatsApp, and storming off group chats claiming she would no longer do the wedding—only to later try to re-enter the picture with demands and threats when we decided to leave. She also has zero creativity. Instead of offering original ideas, she would waste hours scrolling through Pinterest with random, outdated decor, completely missing our aesthetic. When we pushed back, she actually admitted that we had done all the work ourselves and then told us that “most of her brides plan their own decor.” So what exactly were we paying 4.5 Lakhs for? Despite repeated requests, she failed to provide a contract until two months before the wedding—far too late, and after all trust had already been destroyed. When we decided to leave her, she began making false claims, threatening legal action, and demanding money we did not owe her as she had simply not done the work. She kept our deposit and refused to refund us even though we had no contract in place. After we walked away, things got worse. She stalked our venue, harassed our new planners just one day before the wedding, and tried to insert herself back into the event by making false claims that the decor moodboards and vision were all her work. None of it was. She was completely uninvolved and is simply trying to take credit where none is due. She knows that none of the decor moodboards for the events were done by her. On top of that, she has a reputation for not paying her vendors. We later discovered that she takes large sums from clients and then shortchanges the suppliers she hires—leaving others to clean up the mess. This isn’t just unethical, it’s exploitative. Shame on you, Priyanka. She comes across as sweet at first, but it’s all a performance. She lacks basic business skills, integrity, and the ability to manage high-stakes events. She caused us an unacceptable amount of stress and anxiety during what should have been the most joyful time of our lives. We’re sharing this to protect other couples—especially NRI brides planning remotely—from being misled and mistreated the way we were. We hired Priyanka gupta from TIPS for our son's wedding and she scammed us throughout especially on the day of wedding . She charged 1.44 lakhs only for mandap and deliever a horrendous mandap which is not even worth 20k . She misbehaved with the family when asked about her failures and threatened us to shut down the wedding . I advise everyone not to hire this vendor

We had finalized Priyanka as the vendor for all the events on our marriage and it was the worst mistake we made. She seems very understanding initially with so much promises but on the day of our wedding she cheated and misbehaved with us ruining our day and days to come since the mandap was horrible. She charged us 1.4 lakh for the dreamy mandap we had discussed at length and delivered a mandap which looked like 20k cheap photo booth ( I shall share images for references) . She is a fraud and planned everything so that we couldn’t do much on the day of our wedding. She cut down on things on sangeet (background lights, dreamcatchers,) setup as compared to what was promised. However, we let it slide as we were really busy. She forgot to add frills (hangings) on the haldi set up too. The flowers were dirty and old. The safah was not the color we had discussed. What was promised as free was charged…and when we finally saw the mandap and complained and decided to hold some amounr of the money she has the audacity to threaten our family to turn off the genset and stop the wedding, while the groom and bride were on the mandap !!!!. The mandaps led light were not working, the flowers were 20% of what was promised and while the baarat was coming the workers were still trying to fix the lights which in the end didn’t get fixed. Horrible Horrible Experience!!!!! We had to delay are wedding pheras since the lights were being fixed. She comes across as a genuine person at first but we made a huge mistake she is all in for the profit and a greedy selfish woman with no regards or respect for others. She had no manners on how to communicate and settle things even though she was the one who made the mistake. Instead of accepting her mistakes and talking it through she decided to abuse our family members and trouble us on the day of wedding while the event is still going on I am so angry that it ruined my day and still she feels she was right. She is someone will do the worst thing when you least expect it. When confronted she said this is what you “negotiated for.” The level of professionalism!!! The price was what we agreed for. Yet she turns it on us when she couldn’t delivered. She acts as a friend and well-wishers initially but really bites you in the end. We paid a handsome amount yet it was not enough for her greed. I wrote this so no other bride groom or their family goes through this again.

Hi , i am the groom and this is my review/ experience with Priyanka gupta . We hired Priyanka Gupta from The Indian Planning Society as our wedding event manager / decorator for all of our events and it turned out to be the worst mistake for our big day. Priyanka is a scammer, a fraud , unprofessional , scandalous , greedy and the cheapest person I have met in my life. The only thing Priyanka is good at are the talks and making you believe how actively and creatively she would be involved in your occasion to make it grand and beautiful as per your needs and then gradually starts scamming you as your event proceeds. On 29th April , we had our mehndi event to which she mostly did as we discussed making us believe that our event would go as planned. On 30th April , we had our haldi function in afternoon where we noticed some cost cuttings like the degraded quality of chairs to some missing decors and low quality of items used in the main setup which we ignored . At night , we had our engagement & sangeet night but there was a vast difference in the setup which we discussed and what she executed . Lots of items were missing from the setup and everything was smaller than we agreed upon. We were surprised at the setup but due to shortage of time and hoping that she would be doing a marvellous setup at our wedding day (*especially of mandap ) , we ignored it too. Then comes the wedding day on 1st May where she screwed our event royally. She charged us 1.44 lakhs only for the mandap setup and structure giving us hope that it would be the setup of our dreams which turned out to be worse than a photobooth or couple corner and it doesn’t even worth 20-25k. Me and my fiancé emotions were completely ruined and destroyed looking at the structure . We were so angry and frustrated looking at the mandap and décor that we weren’t actually able to enjoy the biggest occasion of our life. Priyanka , being a pro scammer very skilfully didn’t show herself from the start and present herself infront of my family when me and my fiancé set down at the mandap and our wedding ceremonies started. She came to my family and started demanding full payment from my brother and his wife to which my brother asked her to wait for sometime till me and fiancé got free and hold only 50k because we wanted to discuss about the worst setup that she created and the reason behind it. But being a scandalous and cheapest person she is, she demeaned my family and warned us that she would cut the genset power supply and announce on PA system that we are withholding her payment. She spoke the meanest words to my family , didn’t accept any of her mistake and didn’t even wait for an hr so that we can discuss with her about the mess that she created and ended up taking all the money before me and fiancé got free. It was the most traumatic experience and our whole emotions and mood was ruined. Later , we came to know about Priyanka from our resort , photographer and other decorator that she has been scamming people from quite a while now and no one wants to work with her. We made a huge mistake choosing her because of the sugar coated and ambitious talks that she did for our wedding but I would advise everyone not to hire her for anything.
