The Top Knot Salon

I got my engagement ,bridal makeup,pre-bridal and other salon services done from The Top Knot Salon,Swaroop Nagar,Kanpur, and unfortunately my experience was extremely disappointing and regretful. Their staff is very good at upselling,but they do not deliver what they promise at the time of booking. During booking they confidently talk about using high-end,premium makeup products and name multiple luxury brands.However during the actual services,they ended up using basic products like biotique moisturizer and other regular makeup items,which was nowhere close to what was promised. I had clearly explained both at the time of booking and during my pre-bridal sessions what kind of look i wanted for my big day.Despite this,their so called"Celebrity Makeup Artist" was completely confused and kept asking me last-minute questions instead of being prepared.This only added to my stress. I specifically instructed that i did not want a mature look and wanted a pretty,royal bridal look and i also made it clear that i did not want a flat hairstyle. Still i was made to look like an aged bride with a flat bun hairstyle which was the exact opposite of my expectations. The categories Junior Artist,senior Artist ,Celebrity Artist are completely misleading.There is no transparency about who falls under which category,and honestly,there doesn't seem to be any real difference in skill. After my ruined engagement makeup, I raised my concerns with the team,hoping things would improve for my wedding day.Sadly it became even worse. The Celebrity artist on my wedding day was extremely poor at her job. She seemed totally confused and lacked basic clarity about bridal makeup. There was zero feature enhancement-my eyemakeup was very basic and unattractive,the hairstyle had multiple pins but no front look at all and the flowers at bun were placed just like that, and the makeup did nothing to enhance my beauty. The duppatta draping was equally careless-no styling ,no effort just wrapped around me like a formality. I truely felt cheated after spending thousands of rupees in the name of a big chain salon and a celebrity artist.What they show and promise during booking is completely different from what you actually receive.And then they insist you to give a positive feedback at the end,whether you like it or not and ask you to repeat what they say to make their video and the one who is going to celbrate her day does the same to avoid any conflict and choose to repeat rather than spoiling her mood for the rest of the day. The manager is polite and humble, but that doesn't help when the execution team is absollutely worthless.A better makeup look can easily be acheived at a local salon or with a basic freelance makeup artist. Another disturbing experience was the bad behaviour of one staff member during my engagement makeup. She rudely asked the artist doing my makeup to make me get up and shift seats just because she wanted that particular chair for her own bride. I complained about this the very next day,but such behaviour is unacceptable,especially with brides. Please don't book them for your big day and if you still do, do not fall for their Junior/Senior/Celebrity Artist Scam.Ironically, I saw junior and senior artists doing far better makeup than my so -called celebrity artist. Also "always take a makeup trial from the same artist who will do your bridal makeup" even if they charge extra.Otherwise you may end up regretting like i do. Agar mujhe pata hota ki aesa kuch hoga , toh mai khud trial le leti. The feeling of not looking the way you dreamed on your wedding day is very heavy and its hard to put into words. Everytime I look at my wedding photos , i feel regret. Before booking , i had already come across a similar negative review. When i discussed it with the manager,she convinced me it was fake and that the girl wasn't even their bride.I trusted them. May be you get the same answer if you refer to my review, but don't trust unless you are ready to compromise your look. This was my experience with them for my life unfortunately not a good one.

I got my makeup done from Arbaab from Top knot.I loved the look he created on me,he listens to you and understands your vision. Apart from my makeup what I loved about him was his behaviour, professionalism and kindness he showed during the whole process.
