Because that's what I did and reached out to Namrata quite close to the wedding (she had a deadpan look of astonishment when I told her our wedding dates which I will never forget!) Yet she took on the project and created magic at each event. She is patient, understands your wishes, and will also firmly fit them into your budget with her amazing contacts and network. Our wedding was wonderfully planned and executed by her and the team and I was really able to enjoy myself to the max. They say it takes a village to raise a baby... From a starting point of "why do we even need a wedding organizer", I have come full circle and have become a fan of Two Fat Ladies. Namrata and her team made the wedding so easy for our family that we hardly felt any pain during the whole build up to the wedding and then the actual execution. Some of the real advantages of using them are a) Namrata listens to what you want and need b) She does not present you with a busget, but works within your own budget. There was no wastage, no unnecessary frills that cost money adding any value. c)I saw no greed and also no pressure to make payments sooner rather than later. Where do I begin to explain what Namrata and her team did for me? There is a wide berth between deciding to get married and having a wedding. In between you will experience such insane ups and downs many of which are decidedly unromantic. I was on the fence about whether to hire a wedding planner or not, and Namrata’s manner put me at ease. She listened to what I wanted and worked with my priorities. I am not the kind of girl that has planned or dreamed of every detail of her wedding - I had very simple I gave her two basic briefs: 1. I wanted to have fun at my wedding 2. It’s difficult to put into words just how amazing Namrata and the team at Two Fat Ladies were throughout the entire process. My husband and I live in Australia but decided to have a destination wedding in India to honour my husband’s roots, and because we thought it would be an adventure! As my husband has spent most of his life in Australia, and I am not Indian, the idea of organising a three-day wedding in India was extremely overwhelming to say the least! How do I start this review? I guess I’ll start by saying, I have been planning my wedding since the last 10 years at least even before I met my now husband. Needless to say because of all these years of planning, I am extremely detail oriented and particular about a lot of things. When choosing a planner the things we were most interested in was someone who had a lot of experience with couples who weren’t in india and we were looking for someone who could be hands on. There’s a lot of good say about Namrata’s approach but I would say the best things about her is 1) Her decor detailing and aesthetic design sense and 2) Her organization around finances. One thing that I liked about Namrata (even though I didn’t realize it at the time) is her ability to push back. She will always do what the couple wants ultimately but she will first try to speak to the couple and explain her POV based on her experience. Very few planners are detail oriented but Namrata hit the nail on the head with how she focuses on details. For someone like me, I need to know the fabrics of our table overlays and she catered to those requests. She was available for us during our time zones as well and had a proper plan from start to D day so we were stress free. Well well, where do I start? My search for a good wedding planner started as soon as my search for my life partner ended. It was very troublesome job to find a good trustworthy wedding planner until I spoke to Namrata from two fat ladies. She starts off with a detailed one hour customised presentation exactly based on your needs which we discussed a day ago and the moment the call got ended, I was totally convinced and excited to decide that we would want to get married with the help of two fat ladies. We found Namrata/2FatLadies through a web search in 2021, and she was very helpful from the get go. Even before we brought her on as a planner in 2022 she was willing to lend us advice. Being in a different continent, we were anxious about planning across timezones and many many miles. But having Namrata on board made it easy! She helped us with everything from venues to vendors to the minutia of day coordination well in advance. She is a skillful negotiator and helped us get good deals from our vendors. Once we arrived in Mumbai a couple weeks before our wedding, we were able to really see how the team shines, by how they helped us with all the things that we weren't prepared for, including helping family with their wardrobe, getting clothes altered in time, airport pickups for guests and so much more. We were fortunate to have found Namrata during our wedding planner research in 2020, but due to the pandemic, we couldn't work things out then. She continued to stay in touch with us (which is so rare these days). So when time came in 2022, we knew who will plan our wedding. We made her job even more challenging by giving her just a two month notice. Namrata was very patient and composed with us, listened to our requirements and was genuinely invested in planning the wedding we wanted. From providing destination venue grids to figuring out local venue options (all within couple weeks and as per our needs), she did a commendable job there. We had a May wedding in Mumbai and we can't thank her enough for her recommendation to get a venue with both indoor and outdoor seating to accommodate unpredictable weather. We asked for fresh greens and orchids umbrella for bridal entry - she made it happen (even though she had not done it before), color coordinated safas - she did that too, she executed every small detail such as right color florals, varmala details, sign board on entrance and every little detail of our decor with the decorators. We(and our guests) loved her little touches such as the floral cones hung on the chairs during wedding pheras. We originally had only signed up for her consultation service. But again - she went above and beyond by personally coming to the venues and ensuring all the set up and flow is in place. She also provided us with a shadow - Akansha to assist with all wedding stuff. Akansha was amazing, she took care of all small and big things while I got ready. She ensured I was well fed and hydrated amidst all the wedding craziness. She was incredibly SWEET and worked relentlessly to make sure we were comfortable through the wedding events. She also took some beautiful snaps on our phones which is great to view while we wait for our official photos. We can go on and on about how much we loved working with Namrata and her team. Long reviews are more often than not of people venting, uncommon is when someone is just so happy with a service that one takes time to sit down, pen everything they love about the service/product. With that, just check the length of reviews 2fatLadies have across media. You’ll find how much people loved working with them. The common feedback for this team is the “Will be done” attitude, the “calm/happy vibes” that this team brings in, the meticulous OCD manner in which they operate. Personally, I had hired this team for my wedding. You don’t need to be Mumbai based to enjoy working with them. Their service quality isn’t dependent on proximity to their home base. Namrata - She is meticulous, hardworking, calm, doesn’t lose her mind when things go wrong and rather operates in a very action oriented manner to help you sort stuff, very quick on her feet (even if you missed something and realize it’s impact on the wedding day, which in my case was food menu, she will immediately think of how to remedy it). I worked with Namrata for the past few months to plan my wedding. I hardly had any help from family or friends for it. And signing up with her to plan this wedding was probably the best decision I made… A week into the planning itself I realised the work that it takes behind planning an event is underestimated by most of us. Yami & Harsheel found the Two Fat Ladies in a forest filled with all kinds of predators and a few which were nice! Working remotely with our kids, Namrata & Varsha and the entire team led the various events to a smooth conclusion. "Two Fat Ladies" We started planning our wedding in Jan 2021. Meeting Namrata (Nikki) of Two Fat ladies (TFL) , who came recommend from within the family, was the 1st of the best that has hapenned. The 11 months that followed was sheer pleasure. Nikki works along with so much patience, always observing and listening, to detail the minutest of our whims, fancies and dreams. Two Fat Ladies, helped us, stitch together a dream on a Live canvas, so beautifully. The hiccups amidst the covid second wave, the uncertainity, the tensive discussions and mood swings galore, but Nikki had that calming smile and "Not to worry, will be done" attitude. The planning was huge, events, gifts, decor, logistics, food, drinks, entertainment, photos n filming. Nikki religiously spent hours with us and on call, looping in the bride and her mother who patched in from Kolkata. She may not be a drinker, but her guidance on Alcohol and cocktails were just great. Finally came the week before the D'day. We had 3 run throughs for the wedding which at a point we thought were excessive, but that's where perfection originates. Room allocations were hectic, the running in between and changes. But she was our sole fighter in all of it. The hotel had to oblige every time. Any time of the day or night, the early check - ins or late night events, the after party, she was personally there all the time, cheering her team. All guests were attended to with a "TFL" touch, very patiently and with great humility. Varsha, our sous chef, was brilliant. Made notes of our likes and dislikes, through out the food tasting. Helped us around the food changes with ease and constantly communicated with the Chef's for every detail. The bride's dream of a Dessert Bar, was perfectly and beautifully executed. It was the "show stopper"❤️ The Rain gods decided to cool the heat on the final day. We had nothing to worry. Nikki and her team jumped at the opportunity and turned the entire setup around, indoors. No one, I repeat no one even thought this was possible. The Mandap, the stage, the musicians, the food, Et Al. All the team members and every shadow provided for the family were amazing and smiling all the time. Thank you all, really with the Bottom of our Hearts. In 1 line would like to say .. If there would be more than 5 stars. I would give that... People say that a bride and groom don’t get to enjoy their own wedding because they are so busy, but for me & my husband this statement doesn’t stand true.. Namrata from 2FL made sure everything was smooth and easy ride for us.. we not only enjoyed our own wedding but Namrata made it too memorable for us. She has a magic touch. She personalises everything, makes sure of your needs, wants , and dreams.. she doesn’t let you compromise and makes sure you get your dream wedding better than what you can even imagine... Due to lockdown our wedding got postponed and just 1 month before our new date, there was a change in wedding venue.. Namrata and her team worked day and night with us to make sure no stone is left unturned in the wedding.. we had the most royal wedding I could image.. I don’t think so there is any wedding planner better than her, and even if there is.. we will still vote for her. It is difficult to do a wedding when you are not physically present in India, however, Namrata got it DONE. We opted for the “consulting package” where we took her help only for the planning phase and did the wedding day execution ourselves with the help of family. I wasn’t sure in the beginning if we need a wedding planner but we had many questions on how all of the elements fall together and how to we get it procured. This is where Namrata guided us with multiple interesting options to choose from and the reasons why they may or may not work. This gave us a clear idea of what we want and if we can handle it on the execution day. There are multiple decisions you need to take in the whole planning phase, which makes you anxious. Namrata helped us to keep focused on very few decisions at a given time considering their time sensitivity. This helped us by making us feel in control of the whole process. She handled Vendor management very well and was always available for us in our timezone. She was also only extremely transparent about the costs and kept the whole wedding under the defined budget.

I feel so happy to review the most incredible wedding planners, Two Fat Ladies. They helped plan my brother’s wedding so beautifully and Namrata and Naresh worked so hard to make sure everything was perfect and according to how we had pictured. We collaborated with Namrata for our reception decor. Our reception was held in a bare open lawn and we needed to work on the decor from scratch. We met almost 4-5 decorators but decided to go ahead with Namrata because her vision and aesthetic matched my sensibilities the most. I was very particular about the decor I wanted and Namrata not only understood what I was looking for, she also suggested a number of ideas that added to our theme. Namrata was also extremely patient in dealing with the requirements of my family and I. We had a lovely rustic backyard vibe at our reception, sans the traditional stage and it was extremely beautiful. Namrata executed all our ideas brilliantly and we got SO many compliments on the decor. They were not only extremely transparent about the costs but also the most cost effective vendor we met with. We can't begin to explain how big a role Namrata, Naresh and their lovely team played in making our wedding a huge success. Living in London and planning a wedding in Goa was always going to be a bit of a long shot but, Namrata made herself available at the most odd hours to accommodate our timings and keep us well informed throughout the process. Some of the key highlights were: - Their never say die spirit. Nothing was impossible for Namrata and Naresh's team. Whether it was sourcing my safa 3 days before the wedding or finding us an acoustic singer less than a week before the wedding. Honestly, nothing is impossible for Namrata. - Their transparency, accountability and genuine empathy for the groom, bride and their respective families. It's very rare to find honest people who you are able to blindly trust with money and the biggest day of your lives. We trusted Namrata and Naresh with all the finances and negotiations. There was accurate and systematic accountability throughout the process whilst ensuring that costs never went beyond the assigned budget. - Their ability to persevere and deliver under extreme pressure whilst living up to the expectations of a hyper specific couple. For e.g., on the first day of the wedding they realised that they had printed the wrong keycard holders; Namrata went into damage control mode and ensured this was resolved immediately by first finding a printing company in Goa on a Sunday and later arranging for them to be printed in Bombay (to minimise costs) and sent with one of our friends on the same day. As I said earlier, their never say die spirit really showed in the most pressing situations. - Their business acumen and relationship management. They took over the entire negotiation process with all vendors and got us the best possible deal without comprising on quality and relationships. It's impossible to explain how much of a relief this was for a circumspect couple sitting in the UK. - They are extremely passionate about what they do and don't believe in just churning out one wedding after another. Naresh's on-the-ground delivery was seamless and didn't require much intervention from our families. He went above and beyond to ensure we savoured the important aspects of our wedding. For e.g. he asked the photography and videography team to stray clear of the mandap during the pheras to ensure the sanctity of the occasion was observed! Overall, this was probably the best decision and investment we made for our wedding. The cherry on the cake is that even before the wedding began, it felt like they had become a part of our family. Love you guys to bits for dealing all our weird and specific requests; you'll truly made it an unforgettable experience for us and our guests ❤️

Namrata and Naresh have been a really great team, diligent at every level and good eye for detail. One of the aspects that stood out was there were no loose ends in the wedding and every feedback was either incorporated or alternatives were proposed. In addition to the fact that both of them were hands on, they had a good team in place. @Namrata I did see the difference between a trained coordinator/shadow and a kiddo from event school :). The team was available whenever we requested and that isn’t always easy, considering our office timings- these are the small conveniences that added up to make the wedding so enjoyable! Another plus is that Namrata has good taste which led to little chance of misalignment in expectations and standards. Kudos to the whole team!

We used Two Fat Ladies for my brothers wedding, and I have no hesitation in acknowledging that they are the best and the most meticulous event team one could hire. Namrata, Varsha, Naresh and team are possibly the hardest working people you come across who have the capacity to stay up almost all night to ensure that the wedding goes flawless. The best part about them is that they totally own the wedding as a family member would and do not hesitate to get involved in everything irrespective of what scope of work is decided in the beginning. In our case, they coordinated with all guests, helped us with the menus, the give aways for each function, entertainment, decor coordination, pickups, drops and checkins for all guests, and in general anything and everything we needed. What stands out is their ability to think on their feet and get you whatever you need at the last moment. One of the examples which stands out is that they got a 10,000 sqft open patio area effectively air cooled in the peak heat of may within a matter of 12 hours. We told them at midnight and it was done by next afternoon. We just had to tell them. Another thing which was impressive was their ability to take care of all elders. They provided wheelchairs and attendants, and made sure all elders were well taken care of and not neglected during the event. We worked with them for four months prior to the wedding and they never hesitated and coming to our home at any time of the day (or night) even for the smallest thing, and were willing to patiently spend endless hours with us making even the smallest decision. Thanks to them, the wedding went off really well, without a single glitch, and most importantly, a lot of guests commented on how efficient the events team was, and not even a single guest had to wait for pickups, drops or checkin once they arrived. And the best part: all through the event, each and every member of their team had a smile all the time, and was willing to do anything we asked them.
