The Youthellennium Dance Academy is the brain-child of choreographer Mr. Ranjan Sharma. The history of the academy is almost as old as Mr. Ranjan himself, as he was keen to take-up dancing as his profession since his childhood days. Further to his exposure to different dance forms in india, he performed in various dance shows and also in his own stage shows which garnered praise from the local media and the society. He was hailed as the "Michael Jackson of city by local media and praised his hard work and dedication for the art-form. Mr. Ranjan intended to extend the horizon and to elevate the dance form to a new level by engaging the society in this art. Reconnaissance of the local dance groups revealed that dance academies which offer wide dance disciplines are sparse in number in Mumbai. This encouraged him to form Youthellennium Dance Academy to cater to the dancing needs of the society and to build a better dancing platform for all, irrespective of their age. The Academy was formed in 2006 with its first branch at Mumbai. With a brief stint in Mumbai, another branch was opened in Nerul, Navi Mumbai. Thanks to the friendly and healthy environment in YDA, the popularity rose every year and it is now home to more than 400 dance enthusiasts of all ages at about seven (and increasing) branches. With branches in different parts of the city, YDA is growing every year with rapid pace. In 2016-17 season alone, over 1500 students were trained in the academy.
