Raabta’s work was nothing short of magical. Shrey and his team were a dream to partner with — calm, creative, and incredibly intuitive, they handled every moment with a kind of quiet mastery that let us truly be present and enjoy our weekend. My bridal portraits were a dream come true, even with managing the challenging logistics and tight schedule. I actually took a tumble just minutes before my bridal entry, breaking both my kadas and kaleeras. While initially on the verge of tears, Shrey kept me grounded and calm, even making me laugh by sharing a few sneak peeks of the portraits. One of my favorite memories with Raabta was a spontaneous shoot we did with all 40+ of our friends right before the Sangeet. Shrey effortlessly directed the entire group to sit on the grand steps of Umaid Bhawan leading to the Baradari. The result was this incredibly layered, dynamic wide shot that belonged in a magazine. What also amazed us was how the Raabta team managed to be everywhere at once. Indian weddings can be overwhelming in scale, with so much happening — but thanks to their meticulous coverage, we now have a treasure trove of footage that lets us relive every moment, even those we missed in real time. Raabta gave us more than just photos, they gave us cherished memories, raw emotions, and magic frozen in time. It’s the kind of wedding album we’ll adore forever, one we’ll proudly share with future generations as a timeless record of love, joy, and celebration.

Venues

From the start, we dreamed of getting married at Umaid Bhawan Palace. Its grandeur, rich history, and royal legacy made it the perfect setting for a celebration this meaningful — and gave our guests a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience. We were especially moved by the palace’s symbolism: the majestic domes, Makrana marble staircase, and Rajput motifs. Our ceremony on the Baradari Lawn, framed by the palace itself, felt magical. We oriented the mandap westward — an uncommon choice — so the palace would be our backdrop. Amphitheater-style seating made it intimate and visually striking. The next day, we hosted a vibrant Carnival Brunch at Hari Mahal, filled with games, color, and a surprise “Bhangra x Beyoncé” performance with my girlfriends — a joyful nod to our New York crew and shared memories. For the Sangeet, we transformed the palace’s central driveway into a glowing stage. With the illuminated façade behind us, the night felt cinematic — a perfect close to our royal celebration.

Wedding Planners

Working with A New Knot felt like a full-circle moment. We first witnessed their brilliance at my sister-in-law Mallika’s wedding in Udaipur and were amazed not just by the beauty of the events, but by how seamlessly everything was handled behind the scenes. So when it came to planning our own wedding, choosing them was an easy decision. Aditya’s family already had a great relationship with the team, and over time, we built one of our own. A New Knot didn’t just plan events — they brought our personalities to life through experiences that felt thoughtful, personal, and completely us. One unforgettable example was the varmala, staged on the palace steps in golden light, with perfectly timed music and choreography that still felt organic. Watching it now feels cinematic, but knowing the level of detail and coordination behind it gives us even greater appreciation for how ANK makes the magic look effortless — and that, truly, is their magic.
