Our experience with the hotel was nothing short of a disaster. Even before arriving, the staff was unresponsive and failed to fulfill our requested arrangements. We had high hopes for our special day, especially after receiving a confirmation for an upgrade to a Royal Suite from our originally booked Regency Suite. However, upon arrival, the hotel had no record of the upgrade. Thankfully, Paromita managed to sort it out, but the promised room decor and flowers were nowhere to be found. Despite requesting them during turn down service, they were never delivered. To make matters worse, the powder room had leakages, and both washrooms lacked essential jet sprays commonly found in Indian toilets. It was an unexpected inconvenience while traveling in India. Even simple requests for towels, napkins, and water bottles required multiple follow-ups, taking an exasperating 30 minutes to be fulfilled. When we opted for in-room dining and requested a low-salt dish due to dietary restrictions, we were shockingly refused. Being on a strict diet, we had to sleep without any dinner. The following morning, breakfast was a repeat of the same disappointing story. However, after escalating the issue, Paromita and Chef Vikas finally helped us with a salt-free dosa and chutney. The spa appointments were yet another mess. Despite being promised a call back for confirmation on the first day, I never received one, resulting in the loss of a soon-to-expire voucher. The next day, the front office manager confirmed a spa appointment between 10-12, but later informed us that it was only available after 3, which clashed with our 2 o'clock checkout time. Finally, the most distressing incident occurred when my ring was stolen from the room. The hotel's response was lackadaisical and far from transparent in their investigations. It was only after approaching the GM that I received a mere update, rather than a comprehensive and transparent report. The ring held immense emotional value, surpassing the cost of memberships and the hotel itself. After sharing feedback, a staff member contacted me, offering WOH points as compensation. However, they were misinformed, and despite follow-ups, no one got back to me, leaving me feeling utterly ignored. In summary, this hotel is a complete disaster. I urge future travelers to steer clear of this establishment. Their incompetence, lack of accountability, and poor coordination among staff members are utterly disappointing. Save yourself the trouble and choose a different option.
