Beautiful Bengaluru Wedding With A Bride In A Pastel Benarasi Lehenga!

BY Latha Sunadh | 11 Jul, 2018 | 2701 views | 3 min read

A Raw Mango lehenga sighting? We must admit, we don't get many of those in here and when we do, like this instance, we grab it with both hands and hold it tight. This Bangalore bride has two things going for her - a pretty pastel Benarasi lehenga and a beautiful mandap with a flower chandelier that's blowing our mind. Among other things, we like how the mandap and the phoolon ka chaddar matched each other beautifully. The venue,  The Holiday Village is the perfect backdrop for sucha . grand wedding while photography by Cinnamon Pictures★ 5  is a delight!

"It was in early 2011 when we met through a dear common friend, Leon and the rest is history!" declares Tanvi.

The Wedding

From The Bride:

We were very keen on having a small and intimate affair at a remote temple tucked away from all civilisation but our families convinced us otherwise. The best bit? We ended up doing it in style just 4 months away from the actual date, and what a wedding it turned out to be... far beyond our wildest dreams!

We also had a “Techno Mehendi” turned out to be an amalgamation of Bollywood, Punjabi and Techno to make sure everyone had their fair share of fun! Since both of us are DJs we didn’t have to hire one for the night thanks to Ashwin, Ashrith’s brother and our friends who ended up taking turns at the console.

On the evening of the wedding, to sweeten up our guest's ears we hired a very talented flautist to play during the Pheras and the ceremony followed by a Psy-Fusion band from Goa who played out didgeridoo-laden covers for the rest of the night. One of the smaller details worth mentioning is that right after the Sindhoor ceremony there were a whole bunch of firecrackers that went off exactly as the wedding ceremony came to a beautiful halt.

As food at a Punjabi-South Indian wedding goes, we had four separate caterers doing different styles of food from across the country - Kebabs from Lucknow, Tandoor from Punjab and so on.

As for the outfits, my lehenga was from Raw Mango and keeping the colours and fabric of her outfit in mind, we got a matching one made for the groom by the amazing designer, Jyoti Sachdev Iyer.

Zorain my MUA is amazing. The day I went for a trial was the day I knew she was going to do an amazing job. She is not only a brilliant makeup artist but is also very sweet, friendly and gentle and took that extra step of making me look and feel special on that big day!

Our family has worked with Cinnamon Pictures on many occasions and they always deliver. They’re a bunch of fun, friendly people who love what they do and the fact that we have mutual friends made it all the more easier and fun to work with them.
