Delightful Delhi Wedding With The Bride In An Engagement Jumpsuit

BY Sakshi | 02 Jun, 2022 | 1742 views | 5 min read

We love it when brides go out of their comfort zones and try something new on their wedding- be it in terms of venues, outfits or even themes and decor! Here is a bride who chose to wear a pretty ivory embroidered jumpsuit on her engagement, and it looked pretty damn fabulous! The wedding had 3 functions, and they all looked like an absolute hoot! Planned by Nazara★ 5 , this wedding had a lot of cute little ideas and additions which elevated it to the next level, and we loved the overall vibe this one exuded!

Meet Kritee and Abhijit

The couple met on a matrimony website, Kriti tells us.

Sangeet

The Sangeet was all about power packed performances and dancing to our favourite songs! The most special performance was by my grandparents on the classic ‘Udein Jab Jab Zulfen Teri’.

Haldi

The Sangeet was followed by the Haldi shenanigans on the next morning. What began the customary way soon turned into a Haldi assault where not just the bride and groom but even the guests were smeared with turmeric…and it was all yellow.

Wedding

The epic final chapter was the wedding where the band, baaja and baraati(s) brought the house down with their energy. I held my brother’s hand, with my parents by my side, as they walked me to Abhi. There was an unfathomable mix of emotions around us, an energy we had never experienced before which made that evening even more special.

From The Bride

Our wedding took place on 6 March 2022. Our wedding was not larger than life but a really fun and intimate celebration of us and our families coming together. The good old revelry typical of Indian weddings remained intact, but we did away with rituals that felt antiquated to us.

We used seed paper for the thank you notes so that guests could plant them afterwards. The idea was for those to be a keepsakes, rather than throw away.

Vendor Reviews

Venues

Zorba, MG Road - What a spectacular venue this was! Zorba is a one stop destination for all things wedding and screams gorgeous from the first sight! They have the best team of managers, décor as well as catering and the guests still cannot stop talking about how dreamy the wedding was.

Aloft by Marriott, New Delhi (Sangeet and Haldi venue): We had the most comfortable stay at the Aloft over our wedding weekend and it was a great venue for our Sangeet and Haldi celebrations. The hospitality was incredible, and everything was seamlessly taken care of with their hands on service.

Makeup Artist

Kashika Kapur - Kashika is not only an amazing artist but a lovely person as well. She gave me two completely different and stunning looks for both the events! Kashika understood exactly what I wanted and kept it fresh and natural, without any faux lashes or lenses.

Wedding Planning

Nazara Decor - Firstly, I have to say that I was very apprehensive in hiring any wedding planners, especially after independently finalizing the wedding venue in Delhi, that made me think we could manage it all with the support of our families. However, I must admit that I could not have been more wrong as it was one of the best investments we made. A lot of big and small elements need to be taken care of up till the grand finale and I’m glad that my family could just enjoy and dance their heart out instead of dealing with a gazillion things in the background. We initially chose Nazara to execute our wedding plans for three events over two days. Kriti helped us find a great venue for the Sangeet and Haldi and I cannot thank her enough for the recommendation! She is genuinely enthusiastic about her work, very personable and collaborative. We planned the wedding from miles away, living in London and Kriti was always available to answer our questions despite the different time zones. Her level of involvement and care really comes through and that’s what made us trust her with the décor for two events as well. As a bride, I was quite obsessive and involved in every single detail, but the Nazara team patiently handled my ‘tantrums’ and last-minute requests. They were really our soundboard for everything and throughout the process, we felt like we were working with our friends and not outsiders.

Photography

Light Chamber: Light Chamber was undoubtedly one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Maninder is more of a storyteller, he captures emotions beautifully and weaves them all together in the most perfect way! He is super talented and humble so we could easily trust him to document one of the happiest moments in our lives. The pictures have brought back tears, laughs and a flurry of emotions as we re-live all those beautiful moments. The team has created magic in each frame, and we love the album so much that we just cannot pick a favourite!
