Regal Udaipur Wedding With a Whole Lot Of Fireworks!

Meet Karishma & Ruchir 

"Our love story started 8 years back when I went to VIT, Vellore for my bachelors.  We started talking a LOT through online messengers  before even meeting each other.  There was an instant connection and I was talking to him as if I have known him for years. We just knew it that whatever we shared was not “just” friendship. It was something much more than that. When we told our families about us, they were very happy for us despite being from two different states, speaking different languages and belonging to different cultures" explains Karishma.

From The Bride: "Ruchir and I were both against the idea of having the wedding in any of our hometowns mainly because we did not want a big gathering for the wedding. Having too many people in your wedding puts a lot of pressure on you. In many cases, the bride and groom do not get to enjoy the festivities because of this. We wanted to have lots of fun and enjoy the wedding so therefore we chose the idea of a destination wedding. Since I was a child, I always thought of having a fairytale wedding and what better destination for a fairytale wedding than Udaipur. Our wedding was a very intimate affair with a limited guest list. Our guests had a total blast at the wedding and it was like two days of unlimited fun, laughter, dancing" says Karishma. "I started shopping for my outfits 5 months in advance. For the wedding, I was very clear that I wanted to be the traditional Sabya bride. When I went to the store I found this lehenga and it was the perfect outfit I had dreamt of. It was royal and it was traditional. For the mehendi, I went to Ogaan and I found this beautiful outfit tucked in a corner and I knew I had to try it. I had the most difficulty in finding my cocktail outfit, but after hopping through a lot of stores I found my princess gown which was perfect.  Shruti did a wonderful job in creating the perfect look for those perfect outfits. I did most of my wedding planning through WMG - my MUA, Wedding Stationery and a lot of decor ideas all courtesy of WedMeGood" adds Karishma gleefully.
