This Guy Planned An Adorable 'Emily In Paris' Themed Proposal

Who here doesn't love Emily In Paris?

The show has a loyal following, and is a guilty pleasure for a lot of us! And who knew it would make for a great proposal theme, and that too NOT in Paris? 

When your boyfriend is an event planner, then a grand elaborate proposal is even more of a possibility! Bharat planned a cute proposal for his girlfriend Mehek, and the décor was all inspired by the show. It was pretty and picture perfect, and we think it was a fab idea!

From The Groom:

I am really proud of this proposal that I planned for my girl. We had started out the traditional route where our parents' introduced us but unlike any other arranged marriage setup, I directly planned a proposal for Mehek instead of involving the parents, under the guise of my sister's birthday brunch celebration.

The theme of the proposal was inspired by Emily in Paris as Mehek was only taking breaks to watch Emily in Paris and talking to me while pursuing her MD Dermatology exams. 

I also proposed to her with a heart-shaped diamond ring placed on an artery of an anatomically shaped heart vase. The anatomic heart represented her career as a doctor and the flowers on it represented my profession as an event planner. This also happened to become the logo of our wedding later on.
