Extremely Unprofessional and Disappointing Experience I had one of the worst experiences with this mehandi artist, and I strongly advise others to be cautious before booking. My event was scheduled to start at 1 PM, but the artist informed me last minute that his train was delayed and he would arrive by 3 PM. Event was in Amritsar and artist is from Amritsar too but he felt like going out of town at my event. He eventually showed up at 4 PM with only two assistants, despite knowing we had around 30 guests with at least 15 waiting for mehandi. Due to the delay, I had to postpone the entire event, which also impacted the next function. Despite repeatedly asking him to arrange for more artists, he kept stalling. More artists finally came around 7 PM, but only 1 or 2 knew how to apply mehandi properly. Many of my guests left without getting their mehandi done because of the delay and mismanagement. The pricing was also a major issue: He had quoted ₹11,000 for bridal mehandi at the time of booking, for a design I selected from his portfolio. I paid a ₹1,000 token amount, which was neither refunded nor adjusted in the final bill. He had initially said guest mehandi would start from ₹100 and hashtag writing for male guests would be free. But on the day, he completely denied the earlier conversation and charged: ₹25,000 for bridal mehandi (for the same design), ₹2,100 per guest for very basic mehandi (some folks just got the mehandi done on the palm) ₹1,100 for writing hashtags on 5 people. This experience was stressful, poorly managed, and completely opposite of what was promised. My advice: Get EVERYTHING in writing — charges, number of artists, arrival time, and exact deliverables. Don’t trust verbal agreements. I wouldn’t recommend this artist to anyone looking for a smooth, professional mehandi experience.
