I think 5 stars is an understatement to their quality of work. Swathi and Akshay are simply mindblowing. Despite us not being in India, they both handled everything so meticulously. They truly listened to us and what vision we had in mind, all while giving us their own feedback to ensure that our special day was beyond our imagination. Writing this review about 2 years after our wedding. My wife and I were very particular about the kind of wedding we wanted - right from passing on cookie cutter options that the decorator provided us with to having a particular kind of live music at our wedding. Despite being across three different time zones, Akshay and Swathi worked with us, promptly responding with solutions to every challenge and wish we threw towards them. When we landed in India, they sat with us in meetings with decorators, advocating for what we wanted, while making things work within our budget. When we thought something was amiss, they took feedback in the right stride and made changes. My highlight was Swathi making the decorators re-do the height of the mandap at 6:30am of the wedding knowing that some flower hangings would have bumped into some of our taller relatives - all while not delaying the mahurat. The added surprise is that Akshay is great with hosting or opening! 10/10 would recommend to couples that both - know what they want or want someone to completely manage and deliver a memorable experience.

In regard to guest management and logistics, Hrithik and aneesh at ouat were on the mark. They ensured that all our guests were well taken care of and catered to their every need. In particular, they arranged for transportation for a wide array guests traveling both internationally and domestic. During the ceremonies and events their expert coordination ensured that everything flowed seamlessly. They provided us with shadows and additional hands to assist family members and thereby allowed us to bask in the joy of our special days without a worry in the world Entertainment at the events was also coordinated well by ouat. They provided us with good recommendations for DJa and artists and even arranged for a Sufi musical night with live entertainment for one of our events. It is also noteworthy that ouat made travel and stay arrangements for our choreographer and anchor. Finally, I would also like to bring attention to a few smaller details that often go unmentioned. Specifically, the recommendation of the photographer and the assistance provided by Regan took spectacular pictures of the wedding and worked well with the ouat team to best capture our special moments. In a nutshell, ouat was seamlessly able to meld traditional customs with contemporary flair. They ensured that our guests and family were treated well and given a memorable experience. The property is huge and we had a tight budget over the decor but Swathi really managed to make it look soo amazing and delivered the designs that we wanted within our budget. Swathi has some amazing collaborations that included DJh & anchor that lifted up the whole event & the crowd was enjoying to the fullest, photography team delivered some extraordinary moments from our event. The best part was a surprise video of our pool party event that was made in an hour and presented to us in our Sangeet night, we were surprised the way the video turned out to be and everyone just loved it. All we had to do is show up on “The Day” without having to bother about the nitty-gritty. They ensured that every detail was managed to its best - From handling the guests to arranging the setup before every function, to ensuring the quality of food while being at our assistance 24x7! They left no stone unturned and I didn’t for once feel like they were onboarded to manage our wedding day, instead, they felt like family all along! Akshay & Swathi are such a sweetheart, haven’t met any one as humble and patient as them! Highly professional, bang on vision and absolutely perfect with what they do! We owe our big day to them!

I met couple of event planners in Rajasthan for my wedding, I don’t have to say it, but Rajasthan is a hub of Royal weddings, so one could find real good event planners and every planner will give you great ideas which you would want to be part of your wedding, after all it is the day of your life. But don’t get flown away by emotions, the expense they will list will certainly bring the charm down, event planning for many of us would be road less traveled until you have closely been part of a family wedding/event. Here you would rate them 5 stars, they will surely give you great ideas but the catch is, with best possible budget and if needed they will talk to 10 vendors to get best quotes. Secondly, they do not believe in implementing the idea which has already been done in some other wedding, a lot of customization is where they stand different, in my case I generally said I like owls and reading poetry they went so close to my choice that they arranged a entry gate in a book pattern with piece of poems on center tables and sofa cushions with owl print and believe me it gave me so much positive vibe while attending my wedding. From arranging a straw till reception stage of your choice, they would do it seamlessly. Another great thing is that they would listen (with patience) ideas by each and every family member who would want to participate in event planning, I come from joint family and being the youngest of the lot, everyone was excited and equally participating in organising event, every opinion and view has been properly heard by team and lastly they would have their own opinion considering all the other opinions of what best could be arranged. After spending time with Swathi n Akshay, through multiple meet ups for event planning you would feel they are part of your family and you feel that they are so young to handle a wedding (Bahot Bada event jo hota hai) but they are mini bombs, they will roll it so well on the wedding day that it will lift your mood, if they promise you to place orchids at place A they will make sure it goes exactly like that. If needed they will even politely correct the vendors if they do anything which would not look good. Their good aesthetic sense can be seen through their previous events. For I did not get carried away by emotions while selecting an event planner but couldn’t resist my emotions while sharing my experience with OUAT Thanks Swathi, Akshay and team for making it a grand and memorable event for me and my family.

I had a lot of doubts about the wedding planners. And this time came when I stopped approaching the wedding planners and decided to arrange everything by ourselves. My fiancé who is NRI and settled in the USA, we both discussed this and decided that we will approach the vendors and will plan everything on our own by this we can also manage the cost-cutting. And we started this plan together and started calling the vendors and the venues. But later we learned that in the middle of our coming precious day, we are more engaged in a lot of work instead of enjoying our wedding. We also planned the destination wedding in which we had to arrange the vendors, shopping lists lots of work we had to do by ourselves once we came to this point either we enjoyed our wedding or we just wasted it in doing these arrangements. Then one day i was searching about the vendors and I got OUAT, I visited their site and i got that they were providing us the everything. So first I doubted that their charges may be high, but I decided to call first. That was the first time i decided i should not waste my time in arrangements and should involve the wedding planner who can provide everything at demand. Our wedding gone just like the cakewalk. Every whim and fancy a bride and groom could think of were delivered and on time. The eco friendly mandate was that of my wife, I wanted and expected a well coordinated tech based wedding. Trust me when I say this, there couldn't have been a better team who could have executed this. We had a wedding website, in an entire CRM. All the guests were notified with emails, SMS, and WhatsApp. All the location links were sent to all the guests. Our guests had to fill RSVP forms, I mean we had 6 events at 4 different locations we pretty much needed it. All our guests were informed about their flight details and who would meet them at the airport. All the guests were greeted well and were very impressed by the quality of service. It was truly a fun experience. These to have a knack of becoming a part of the family and feeling like younger siblings, all while being extremely professional. They took care of all the vendors and managed all the purchases as well. When it comes to gifting and decorations these two are gifted themselves. I really think if you're looking for someone to plan your dream wedding or even any other event your search ends here. Don't even think, don't even blink just leave it to OUAT.

Let me start with ' don't think twice, go for them' Sanmith and I don't stay in Mumbai and the idea of our parents running around for the wedding prep was not fun to think about. So we decided to hire a wedding planner, just like every bride I spoke to Tons of planners and 1 stood out, because this lady was more excited about my wedding then I was and she was the 1st wedding planner, who insisted on me taking to as many as wedding planners as possible before finalising one. After a week long search, we zeroed on them and that's when we realised, how organized they are, everything came to us on a Excel sheet. They would not stop untill we were happy with the options. Believe it or not, there hasn't been a single call which has gone unanswered by Swathi and Akshay, they work round the clock. On the day of the wedding, everything was perfect to the T. Whether its Akshay working with me on RSVP forms till 2am or its Swathi calming me down at 2am when I had bridal anxiety, both of them simply went beyond to be there. And that’s what family does, not wedding planners. If there’s any advice I can give them to improve their services it would be 3 things only - don’t delay booking hotels and vendors, hire more talented interns during pre-planning and please take a day off work weekly for yourself (stop being married to your job) !!!! For anyone contemplating on hiring OUAT, we say go ahead blindly! They will go out of their scope of work if needed, to make your dream wedding come true, and they will do it with their heart and soul. And mostly when challenges arise, have faith in them! Rahul and I were looking for wedding planners on wed me good when we realized we had less than 3 months to plan a wedding halfway across the world in a city our families weren’t living in currently. Swathi and Akshay from Once Upon a Time Weddings (OUAT) were the bedrock of the wedding plans in our family. We were trying to pull off an event with people in three different continents and time zones, and three generations. The two of them were thorough with the ground research of locations and pulled off client-friendly deals. They are available virtually round the clock and always cheerful and positive. We never heard a no from either of them for anything any of us requested. As D-day came up, they got down to the micro-details. They still managed to extend themselves to go with us to pick up the wedding outfits. No detail was too much to request of them, from car decorations to garlands to gifts for the games. Swathi is excellent with décor details and Akshay can check a spreadsheet comfortably. They soon understood our shoestring budget and participated with us in all the events like family. Social media handles of our friends and extended family are full of fond photographs. They have gone beyond what we imagined event planners do. We wish OUAT a great future. They deserve to do well!

Once upon a time truly stands upto it’s name. Mine was a fairy tale marriage, Akshay and Swathi are both young energetic people who pulled of a wedding in a months time. It was a last min drop out of my old wedding planner and they stepped in like a hero and did wonders. The 3 day wedding event was like a vacation for my family, I remember seeing everyone dancing, laughing and enjoying themselves to another Level. I can go on and on about these fells.
