There were no designers involved, just me, my tailors and the gorgeous fabrics. I also ended up doing my bridesmaids outfits and now I run a label called Maisara which makes Indian wear silhouettes in beautiful fabrics.

We do Ganpati pooja decor every year at my house- me and my sister. So at my wedding, it was only fair that we do the decor for my mehendi. We used paper fans to form a colorful backdrop for the brides seat.
Mehak reveals: DIY Mehendi Decor For my mehendi, we took Bandhani dupattas that all of us owned. We hung them at different places in the house, and even draped our sofas with them. The mirrors glimmered , and the bright and colorful fabrics made for a great DIY. My outfit was DIY as well - I took a Phulkari dupatta and got a corset made out of it with a plain skirt.

We spent 3 months hand painting hundreds of bottles to use as centerpieces at the wedding. The guests were then invited to take them home as memories from our big day.
