5 Groom Wear Trends We Are Currently Crushing On

BY Twinkle | 23 Sep, 2019 | 907 views | 3 min read

An event that we all wait for, an event that sets trends - Lakme Fashion Week did it again! It has definitely set the tone right for the upcoming wedding season and we can't get over it. Lakme Fashion Week 2019 rolled up punctually bringing with it a bag full of trends, designers, street style and fashion to define the upcoming wedding fashion.

We have charted out some of the highlights and brought to you some groom wear trends that we spotted at the Lakme Fashion Week:

All Black

Couturiers Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna went hatke than the normal color palettes – black and metallic tones – for their first collection at Lakmé Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2019.

Without a doubt, this piece of work is the perfect reflection of luxury and dreaminess with luxurious fabrics, elaborate embellishment, and strong geometric patterns. It is a suave-yet-edgy embellished knee-length jacket that fits wells for your wedding collection.

A Floral Twist

Who said floral isn't for men? We can't take our eyes off this floral coord set from Payal Singhal that is a perfect pick for your wedding functions.

A white abutilon print, dupion shirt kurta is paired with a coordinated churidaar, georgette dupatta and a fanny pack could be your next look at your wedding!

Tailored with a traditional touch

Everyone knows Manish Malhotra—the name, his larger-than-life designs and the incredible work he manages to create through his outfits.

Here's one trend that we loved for all the grooms! Good bye sherwanis, here's an experimental silhouette that should be your next pick.

This waistcoat with a dhoti is such a unique piece that will let you stand apart on your wedding day and definitely garner you compliments.

PS - Don't forget to wear sneakers with this to be the talk of the town!

Asymmetrical and Stylish

This white and blue ombre bandhgala with a tissue front wrap gives us some major outfit goals!  Playing with soft layers and sharp silhouettes, designer Ujjawal Dubey paired the bandhgala with an asymmetric kurta and white slim pants. We are sure this is going to be the next trend that grooms will follow!

Pretty Pastels

This season, Hyderabad-designer Anushree Reddy showcased a groom  collection that was an ode to flowers and their exquisite natural fragrance. The designs were inspired to bring the old charm to life and were more in the shades of peaches and yellows.

We can hardly take our eyes off this attire which features an embroidered pattern and flared sleeves kurta along with churidar in the bottom - which is definitely going to be this year's trend.
