What do you get when a haircut turns into a love story? For Shaloo and Timothy, it all started at a salon in 2018, where a simple trim led to sparks flying. Timothy, the stylist caught Shaloo’s eye, and what began as casual chat over hair appointments turned into real-deal romance. Their first date at Yvonne’s (with a cheeky Ring Pop proposal and a “12 kids” joke) sealed the deal. Fast forward to July 2024, their Boston wedding was everything they dreamed of- vibrant, emotional, and unapologetically them! With Hindu rituals, Western flair, bold florals, and all the love from their people, it was a celebration like no other. Take a look.
Meet Timothy and Shaloo
"We met in an unexpected yet serendipitous way in 2018. I walked into a salon on Newbury Street in Boston for a fresh haircut, and that day, Timothy, who was the stylist, caught my attention with his warm smile and genuine kindness. What began as casual banter quickly evolved into deep conversations—each appointment became an opportunity to learn more about each other. It wasn’t long before we realized that our connection was something extraordinary. Our first date, held at Yvonne’s—a charming speakeasy in downtown Boston that exudes old-world glamour and whispers of history—cemented our belief that this was the start of something life-changing. Over the course of that evening, filled with laughter and playful moments (including a memorable moment when I jokingly “proposed” with a Ring Pop, to which Timothy quipped about having “12 kids because they’re cheaper by the dozen”), we both recognized that our lives were about to change forever", Shaloo tells us.
