A Destination Wedding In Udaipur With Loads Of Magnificence & Love!

BY Garvita | 22 Aug, 2019 | 1480 views | 4 min read

This wedding made us believe in destiny! Had they not attended the party (that they actually wanted to skip), we wouldn't have been writing this post! And well then, rest is history. Years of a whirlwind romance, a rollercoaster of emotions and decision making, brought them to Udaipur for a destination wedding filled with oodles of fun and awesomeness! And not to miss, the refreshing pink bridal lehenga teamed with an icy blue dupatta. Ooh la la one helluva stunner!! We can't help but point out the totally unique and different chooda covers Pooja wore, custom designed by Pirohi by NB★ 4.8 . Also, a round of applause to Oragraphy for taking the wedding a notch higher with their shots!

Meet Pooja & Tarush

Tarush and I met at a common startup event party that both of us were planning to miss. His innocent smile attracted me at once! We started talking and exchanged numbers. Over the course of the next year, we fell really hard in love! All our experiences together got us closer and made us realize that even though we are opposite in personality, our morals, values and aspirations are very similar. We are from different cultures and cities, so it has been a great journey of deciding if we both are ready for it. Once we made the families meet, #PoojaGottaRush just took off from there.

The Wedding

From The Bride

TJ and I were very sure from the start that we wanted a destination wedding with our extended family and friends, all at one place. We wanted a wedding that showcased both of our personalities and likes, and how our families come together. Hence we chose a floral theme, one that started with lotuses in our wedding logo and was reflected in the features /colors/ decor of each function. We focussed more on the experience that people will have at the wedding, and how we can make it better for them. Both of our personal styles are different but we both like it to be stylish yet comfortable. Hence the outfits were planned in a subtle yet detailed fashion. We kept up a lot of traditional rituals and ceremonies but added a modern touch to all, hence the whole neo-traditional vibe.

Vendor Reviews

I got my stunning chooda covers from Pirohi, and it was a fabulous experience! The team really helped me choose the colour of the cover, designed a custom layout for me and delivered a great product! It was a luxurious cotton & silk based chooda cover with my wedding hashtag and wedding date, along with custom lotus design that went with my wedding logo. And looked so much better than the cloth one normally uses! It really improved my Haldi, chooda ceremony & getting ready bridal shots too, and so many people complimented me for it! I'm glad I could get such a personalized product that will be with me for years as a memory of the wedding!

We chose Ananta, Udaipur for its sheer beauty, the Balinese architecture, luxury rooms and preparedness for weddings. The different terrains & the good rooms of the resort made sure we had enough setups for photographs. During the wedding time too, Ananta gave us the best service and tried their best to accommodate our requests.

I would like to start by saying thanks to Kamakshi Soni Makeovers! From the trial day to my last make up, Kamakshi has been understanding, responsive and communicative about the process and how we should go about each look. I got so many compliments for my make up!

We had a great experience working with Oragraphy (Yogi and his team), extremely professional and they make you feel comfortable with the camera.

It was amazing to see our dream decor coming into existence, thanks to Silver Craft Events! All the themes were beyond perfect.

Ritu Parmar was so prompt and so good with her work. She gave me the exact design that we discussed, and worked very fast!

We got our stunning e-invites, wedding logo and wedding stationery made by Ananya Jain, and it was a great experience.
