What are the two most amazing things about this wedding that totally got us swooning? Well, definitely the effortlessly stylish bride and groom and that spectacular decor! Who knew a temple wedding at BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir in Houston, Texas could look this grand and stunning! Right from the incredible setting to the minimal decor in combinations of red and sunshine yellow, every bit of this wedding spells the words- Royal Charm! But that's not all. When you look closer, you'll see the personal, more intimate side of this wedding too- a heartwarming love story, sweet pictures and a bride who wore her mother's wedding outfit from over 30 years ago! One look at the gorgeous pictures clicked by  Sb Image Studios and you'll know exactly why their story won our hearts!

Meet Amisha & Mukund

"A mutual friend introduced us to each other about 6 years ago when we were still in college. Mukund lived in Chicago, I lived in Houston. We started out as friends and as we got to know each other more, we realized that we were made for each other. Over the past six years, 100+ flights, thousands of calls and FaceTimes, and 1,082 miles apart, Mukund and I established a loving relationship and an even stronger foundation that would last a lifetime. Young and in love, we were eager to get married and not only finally live in the same city but live together! Mukund proposed to me July 2017 surrounded by our friends, candles, the beach, and everything I'd ever dreamed of and more," shares Amisha.

From The Bride

"From the moment we got engaged, we immediately started planning our wedding. With two super-planners, we were eager to plan out our dream wedding. We had always dreamed our wedding to incorporate 3 things: the outdoors, our loved ones, and our faith. On December 1st, 2018, we married in Houston, Texas at BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir in a morning outdoor ceremony. Everything we tried to do in our wedding wanted to be with intent and meaning. We decided to go for a very simplistic, floral, and fairly traditional wedding with a modern twist. Nisho Khan from Dream Decor Design House did an amazing job in making our dream designs come to life! She was so patient and listened to what we wanted but also used her creative freedom to make it all look spectacular.

I chose to wear my mother's bridal outfit from over 30 years ago and my grandmother's ring she had gifted to me at 16 years old. Every detail of our wedding was carefully thought out and had significance from the decor to the details in the outfits and jewelry, to making our guests involved and enjoy the events. The thing we remember most about our wedding was that we actually had a blast! We were surrounded by our loved ones and in front of God, and the whole wedding just felt so fun and natural. The beautiful decor and designs, the love of our friends and family, and the absolute fun we had getting married are evident in the pictures.

DJ Klasikz (Desi Junction DJs) kept the crowd moving and dancing with all of his beats. He did an amazing job as our DJ, and we highly recommend him and the rest of the Desi Junction Djs team! Avasar Cards designed our beautiful, modern, and custom wedding invitations. We went very modern and non-traditional for our invitations, and they did an excellent job in creating exactly what we wanted. Stephanie and Howie from SB Image Studios were so patient and did an amazing job capturing our wedding events. They knew exactly when to capture the right moments and went above and beyond. The pictures speak for themselves! Pixel Perfect Imaging based out of Chicago, did a phenomenal job in shooting our engagement/ pre-wedding photos. They were extremely patient with us and very knowledgeable in knowing how to capture the perfect lighting and scenery. The variety of different kind of shots and backgrounds they took speaks volumes on their versatility and expertise as photographers," she shares.
