Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla Gave Us All The Outfit Details From #VeereDiWedding!

If there's one thing Veere Di Wedding will be remembered for, is the outfits in the movie, which really stood out! Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla has given us some serious wedding goals with some of these outfits, and here, we've got you all the details on each of them individually! Yep, from sketches to the final look, here are the girls' looks from all 3 major functions in the movie!

The Wedding

So let's start with the wedding, which we feel had the prettiest outfits of the lost, especially in those ice cream sorbet shades!

Kareena

Kareena wore a traditional Chikan ghaghra set which was highlighted with zardozi and maal with a pearl and red stone off shoulder mustard blouse, which had a peal tassel detail sleeve. This was paired with a organza head dupatta and one made of baby's breath, which we loved!

Sonam

Sonam wore a pista green Mehajabeen ghagra set with silver sequins all over with a sequin jaal net dupatta. It had a pink pearl border which was added as a fun element along with a pearl encrusted blouse. The colour looked great on her, and we love the fact that the neckline and dupatta was such that no jewellery was needed!

Swara

Swara wore a peach organza cape with waves and butterflies and a design element in pastel Resham colours. It was paired with slim trousers and a bustier with similar Resham work. The entire set was highlighted in silver sequin, and was one of our fave looks from the movie!

Shikha

Another gorgeous one, Shikha wore a pink city coat which was done in 3D gold and silver gota to create texture. The Minara motif was used in the coat, which was done in different pastel colours with a brocade palazzo to give it an edge!

 

The Sangeet 

Not really a fan of Kareena's and Swara's outfit for this one, we absolutely loooouved Sonam's! 

Kareena

Kareena wore a big bad layered blue/grey ombre organza ball gown with gold and silver sequins in moon and star shapes. The outfit had tassel detail on the layers and sleeves.

Sonam

Sonam wore an old rose fish tail ghagra with godets paired with a sequin encrusted bra blouse and checkered embroidery cape sleeves. There is floral embroidery in metallic old rose and a hint of bronze sequins. The styling by Rhea Kapoor was on point, and those gorgeous earrings are by Birdhichand Ghanshyamdas!

Swara

Swara wore a grey circular skirt with multicolour pastel sequins in a radiating pattern, which complemented the blouse with multiple layers of pastel sequin discs on the sleeves to create a dramatic 3D effect.

Shikha

Shikha wore a coral classic ghagra set with a spray embroidery with gold and silver tassel detail on the dupatta and the ghagra.

 

The Mehendi

Kareena 

Kareena wore a Masai black circular skirt with multicolour Resham embroidery which was highlighted with coloured mirror and paired with a similar blouse. It also came with a a Shibori Bandhni dupatta and Shibori pleated sleeves on the blouse which was added for a unique touch!

Sonam

Sonam wore a boxpleated pink and orange ghagra with multicoloured Resham embroidery and mirror highlights which was paired with a beaded jewel encrusted blouse with miniature paintings done in Resham.

Swara

Swara wore a 10 panelled gathered mustard tailoring detail ghagra with different types of multicoloured fabric details done in silk and gota to create a vibrant impact. It had a 3D tailoring bra blouse done in similar technique. In the song, we saw her sporting a demin jacket over it.

Shikha

For the Mehendi, Shikha wore an electric blue step yoke Anarkali done with multicolour mirror and salli work, which was paired with a crushed electric blue skirt.
