The toughest bit about planning a wedding is making sure that all the small details are in place. Like your makeup - one that every bride works hard to achieve. The right look is as important as the right style that depicts “you” - so we got you nine seemingly easy and awesome bridal looks from Lakme salon. They’re simple but really really effective - so stop browsing the internet, you have all the looks at your fingertips now.

Look 1: The Classic Bride

Imperial Ruby (1) Imperial Ruby (2)

It cannot get more classic than this! Red dominates when it comes to weddings in India, and pair that with gold, and you have a winner on your hands!

Makeup: For the eyes, blend gold and brown eyeshadow softly with gentle strokes so that the brown looks more like a shadow to the gold. A winged liner is our favourite to make eyes pop, and suits almost everyone. A bold red lip goes very well with gold and brown eye makeup, without making the makeup look OTT.

Hair: Pair this makeup look with a low messy bun with a middle parting. Try some bridal hair accessories like a pretty juda pin on the back.

Nails: Nothing will look better with this makeup look than nails in a deep, gorgeous shade of red. You could even be more adventurous and try some nail art like criss-cross metallic strips, or embellished tips with diamantes.

Look 2: The Pastel Bride

Regal Charm (1) Regal Charm (3)

Pastel looks oh-so-pretty on brides... and the makeup has to be dreamy and subtle! Here’s how to nail the makeup for a pastel outfit.

Makeup: Keep the base makeup natural yet dewy. A soft-toned, shimmery base for the eyes, which is pretty and subtle. The retro eyeliner adds drama to the eyes, while a soft blend of pearl shadow on the inner corners opens up the eyes, making them look bigger and fresher. For the lips, try a creamy pink lip colour, which looks good with most pastel shades. Finish the look with a strobed cheekbones with some highlighter.

Hair: A classic loose plait looks great and goes with the retro theme. To give it that ethereal touch, leave some loose curls accessorised with fresh flowers.

Look 3 : The Royal Bride

Crowning Glories (3) Crowning Glories (5)

Royal and strong, this bride makes quite a statement with her distinct look!

Makeup: For the eyes, a deep purple shadow blended with molten gold stands out, defined with sharp edges of kohl. A blush and lipstick with a lilac tint goes well with this, while a shimmery purple tattoo brings out the royalty in this royal look.

Hair: A traditional and elegant updo looks great with this, accessorised with some natural flowers and a golden maang tika.

Look 4 : The Outdoorsy Bride

Glowing Diva (2) Glowing Diva (3)

A perfect look for the adventurous bride, this celebrates those who want something out of the box!

Makeup: Blend muted shades of blue and brown on the eye and add a feathery touch of pearl to the inner corner. Add some glittery blue eyeliner to give it that pop. A blush with a peach undertone goes with this for a blushed, dewy base. Classic red lips and a blue glitter tattoo finishes the look.

Hair: A deep side-parted French braid, twisted with curls gives this look the boho feel. Finish this off with complementing accessories.

Look 5 : The Bronze Bride

Supreme Ruler (3) Supreme Ruler (2)

Another classic look, this one goes so well with Indian skin tones!

Makeup: For the eyes, blend shadows in shades of bronze and gold with sharp outlines of kohl to create a smoky effect. Illuminate the dewy base with a golden-bronze shimmer which blends beautifully with the Indian skin tone, giving it a natural feel. Complement the look with sun-swept cheekbones and nude lips which add an understated gloss to this classic look.

Hair: A structured neat, low bun at the nape of the neck suits this style. Leave a few flicks hanging, and finish it off with an ornate jhoomer which perfects the look.

Look 6 : The Eclectic Bride

Royal Radiance (3) Royal Radiance (2)

A fusion of electric and monochromatic tones, this look is for the bride who wants to stand out!

Makeup: For the eyes, a smoky look with shimmery shades of metallic purple and pink add all the drama. A bit of white or pearl on the inner corners and outline with stark black eyeliner make the eyes the standout feature. Offset this with soft, matte pink lips and golden glittery tattoo on the arms, keeping up with the theme.

Hair: A modern take on the faux bob with strands of loose, swept-in asymmetrical curls and an off-centre partition. Try some rustic hair accessories to go with this messy bob to finish the look.

Look 7 : Sangeet Fusion

Iconic Sparkle (4) Iconic Sparkle (2)

Fun and playful, this look is perfect for the Sangeet!

Make-Up: For the eyes, purple and violet eyeshadows blended with a touch of pearl on the inner corner of eyes balances the bold, glittery winged eyeliner. Blush in neutral shades of lilac with a strobed, dewy base is contrasted with deep purple lips.

Hair: Keeping up with the theme, fresh orchids are the defining element of this style. Soft and velvety, tulips styled plaits intertwined with milkmaid braids form the tiara of this classy, up-style bun.

Nails: A rich gradient of purple and green shimmer adds to the bold look.

Look 8: The Evening Bride

Majestic Flair (3) Majestic Flair (1)

This look screams power, chic and style – all in one!

Makeup: This look blends magnetic shades of gold and black with subtle hues of pink. For eyes that stand out, a smooth gradient of copper-gold adds a smoky effect, complemented by softly smudged kohl and bold lashes. Shades of orange and pink work well for a perfectly strobed base for dewy skin and lips, subtly enhancing the entire look.

Hair: A neat updo with gentle weaves of blonde highlights and swirls of hair extensions are amazing for this look. Elegantly pinned at the top, this hairdo can be finished off with hair accessories.

Nails: A pop of pink on the nails with silver diamantes embellished on them to form attractive bows topped with glitter complements the colour palette.

Look 9: The Experimental Bride – Lakme Payal Khandwala Bride

A refreshing take on the Indian bride, this look focuses on allowing a non-conformist bride.

Makeup: With a gold base, the eyes are sensual and strong, accentuated by the kohl around the lids and false lashes. The highlight of the look is a soft mouth illuminated with a dramatic stroke of gold leaf.

Hair: The hair for the look is contemporary and fuss-free, parted in the centre with a ponytail at the nape of the neck.
