Brother Of The Bride Style: Meet Maanit!

BY Sakshi | 20 Apr, 2020 | 1711 views | 3 min read

So usually we do a dedicated post on sisters of brides and grooms who slay, but this time around we decided to feature not a sister, but a brother of the bride who absolutely killed it at his sister's wedding with some unconventional outfits and uniquely styled looks. Yep, meet Manit, who could be an inspiration to all you fashionable guys out there looking to stand out at your sister or brother's wedding. The photos, shot by Beginnings For You★ 4.8 are amazing as usual!

Over to Maanit now, as he tells us all about his customised looks! He received some major fashion guidance from Sidhant Manocha, Sedhantik

Look 1: Mehendi

His mehendi look was simple, but we love that unique kurta for the silhouette and the colour! Maanit wore a customised outfit from Bohame, Shahpur Jat. His footwear, ethnic slippers were from Fab India and his eyewear from John Jacobs.

Look 2: Haldi

His Haldi outfit was pretty simple too, but still popped because of the colour! His outfit and footwear for this were both from Fabindia, and his eyewear from John Jacobs. Love how he switched his shades too to match the look!

Look 3: Wedding

His wedding outfit was probably the most unique and unconventional one. Maanit wore a customised sherwani from Cottons and Satins, Meherchand Market, and paired it with sunglasses and sneakers for a modern look, which made it all the more unique. His footwear was Drop Step by Adidas Originals, and the sunglasses from John Jacobs.

Look 4: Cocktail

Maanit played around with colours again for his sister's cocktail, donning a dapper suit from Part-1, Lajpat Nagar 2. He paired it with shoes from Hush Puppies.

Look 4: Reception

We loved the Reception look too! Very stylish and dapper. The outfit was custom-made by Tony Mridul, Lajpat Nagar 2, and his footwear was again by Hush Puppies.

Maanit says:

"The first thing on my mind before selecting the outfits was that I wanted an unconventional and a colorful vibe as the bride’s brother, I always had to be in the light to welcome guests or for any other odd job, I should’ve been easy to catch hold of. Being an Architect and coming from a family of Architects and Designers, I was clear from the start to wear something which is bold, risky (something with graphics, patterns or pastels) which also represented me as a person, not something that has been repeated over the past years as a defined look of a bride’s brother. I’m very lucky to have one of my cousin as a Fashion Designer- Sidhant Manocha, who could really understand my brief and guided me to the right stores and designers as I had a certain amount of budget to spend wisely. Also Kriti and mom have been the deciding factor for the approval of my outfits, you need that final YES! go ahead from someone and they were there."
