BY Apoorva | 10 Jul, 2023 | 1286 views | 6 min read

Skincare is no longer limited to only brides! Grooms are entering the flawless skin game too. We all know that weddings can be stressful, and the last thing a groom wants is to walk down the aisle with dull, tired-looking skin. That's why we've turned to the experts - dermatologists - to uncover the ultimate skin treatment that grooms must have before their wedding day. Whether you're dealing with acne or dryness, or just want to enhance your overall complexion, these recommended treatments will provide the necessary grooming boost to leave you feeling confident and camera-ready!

One treatment that is an absolute favourite for grooms to be at our clinic is the carbon laser toning medifacial. Grooms tend to be less patient and want just one procedure to give quick results, and this is just that!

The first step in our CLT medifacial is hydro microdermabrasion to cleanse and exfoliate your skin while stimulating the circulation in your skin followed by a serum infusion targeted to suit the needs of your individual skin type. We then apply a fine layer of carbon all over your face, which brings us to the main step- carbon laser toning. We use a picosecond laser to blast this carbon (this tightens pores and fine lines, and also helps treat acne and oily skin), and we then even out pigmentation on your skin by targeting the melanin in your skin with this laser. End this with a refreshing massage and mask, and you're all set to look your very best on your wedding day.

This procedure helps treat acne, open pores and evens out patchy pigmentation. The glow sets in within a day or two, so it's best to do it 2-3 days before your function. The glow lasts for 2-3 weeks post-procedure so it's definitely got you covered. The side effects- some amount of redness on the day of the procedure, but this usually settles within 24 hours.

A groom-to-be can opt for a few procedures before their big day!

First up, Q switched laser. This is a laser that targets the melanin in your skin leaving you with glowing, even toned skin. However, caution should be taken to avoid the facial hair else those could get bleached as well!

Another option is to go for peels like Lactic acid peels which will hydrate and exfoliate the skin leaving it looking brighter and smoother. You also have various other peels like cocktails peels and party peels.

Lastly, if you have sensitive skin - an IPL laser would suit you. It helps reduce redness and provides a healthy radiant glow. Always remember to patch test beforehand!

One of the best in-clinic treatments for the groom-to-be is the mirapeel. This is an advanced medical facial with 8 steps for the ultimate glow, rejuvenation and relaxation. This facial can be customised to cater to all skin types. It provides exfoliation, infusion of serums according to skin requirements and concerns along with hydration. The results are long-lasting, perfect to get the groom through the wedding functions and beyond! The steps range from cupping therapy for enhancing lymphatic drainage, exfoliation, microchannel creation for infusion of active ingredients to deeper layers of the skin, miracurrent for lifting the skin along with LED therapy to soothe the skin.

Dr Rashmi Shetty recommends

When we have groom-to-be come in closer to the date of their wedding, their issues usually include pigmentation, oily skin, texture differences and maybe a tired look in addition to acne & back acne. If needed, I start them off on medication or else, we do our signature stay-on peels for their back. For the face, we administer a series of treatments starting with a brightening & anti-oxidant peel which takes about 20 minutes followed by a deep cleansing facial and end with a brightening laser. It is a total of 1.5 hours spent in the clinic and the grooms-to-be are all bright and shining for their wedding day.

Another concern that really bothers them is the condition of their hair, but there is no such one-sitting magic. So usually, 6 months prior, we start them on hair care treatments such as Regenra, a regenerative treatment that promotes new hair growth rather than PRP, which is more biostimulatory, where you simply add strength to your existing hair. For instant results, however, we do have a quick scalp peel which takes about 20 minutes and essentially takes care of any build-up or dandruff followed by a hair oxygen, similar to one that we have for the face, which provides a healthier milieu for the hair to grow.

Brides are in the limelight of a wedding, but grooms also need to pamper themselves before their wedding. Skin treatments for grooms are also equally important and a must to have glowing and flawless skin on their wedding day. One such treatment is the Hydrafacial.

This facial includes aqua auctions followed by an infusion of glycolic serum, lactic serums, and hyaluronic serums in a step-by-step process. Infusion is followed by hydration using Hydra facial creams which give the groom's skin an intense burst of hydration. The next step is Oxygeno where a capsule generates CO2 on the skin surface which leads to higher absorption of oxygen, thus, oxygenating the skin, making it look brighter and healthier.

Grooms can also opt for treatments like Radio Frequency Collagen Rejuvenation and Skin Tightening for the best-looking skin on their D-day. These treatments are highly recommended ad they are safe and highly effective. They make grooms look their best selves on a day that they will remember for the rest of their lives.

Dr Dhanraj Chavan recommends

Carbon Laser & Chemical Peel Combo Treatment. This advanced skincare regimen is designed to provide optimal rejuvenation and help achieve a picture-perfect complexion. The treatment begins with the application of a specialized carbon solution, acting as a photo enhancer to enhance your skin's absorption of laser energy. Through a gentle heating process, the carbon promotes superficial peeling and improved blood flow, setting the stage for remarkable transformations.

Next comes the targeted laser treatment, precisely addressing pigmentations and blemishes. This step effectively reduces spots and tanning, leaving your skin visibly refreshed with a fresh look that exudes vitality and confidence. To further enhance your complexion, a personalized chemical peel is administered, carefully chosen based on your specific skin type and sensitivity. This deep exfoliation process stimulates skin cell turnover, resulting in improved texture and clarity. The end result is radiant, smoother, and more vibrant skin.

Safe and effective for Indian skin, the Carbon Laser & Chemical Peel Combo Treatment offers a comprehensive solution for pre-wedding skincare.
