Dreamy Ahmedabad Wedding With An Eye Catching Decor

BY Garvita | 27 Oct, 2022 | 2073 views | 6 min read

One glance at the wedding celebrations, and we were sold! From surreal decor themes (with starry night Sangeet being our favorite) to the bride, Aashima chose to dress up in absolutely unique hues; each and every nuance made hit the bookmark button.

Loved how she paired her vibrant bridal lehenga with exquisite jewelry pieces. On the other hand, Parth took the traditional route and opted for an ivory sherwani! It was a perfect mix of extravagance and elegance, and these pictures are proof of it. Scroll and see for yourself!

Meet Aashima & Parth

"Our story can be summed up in one line - From the peak of the second wave of Covid19 in May 2021 to the peak of the third wave in Jan 2022, we found our forever!

I am a Marketing Communications Manager with a multinational hotel chain, while my husband Parth is a lawyer by profession and an astrophotographer by passion. We met in Ahmedabad, during the peak of the second wave of Covid19. With a partial lockdown in the city closing all places for dine-in, we met and connected over Starbucks takeaway dates, and finally said yes to each other in a matter of just two months!" - shared, Aashima

From The Bride

We had a celestial theme at the wedding. My husband Parth, being an astrophotographer, loves reading and capturing some of his favorite constellations and deep-sky celestial objects. I always pay attention to every detail - and wanted our wedding to reflect our own personalities. I was involved in every detailed discussion with my wedding planner. In fact, I even dedicated my mehndi design to the planetary themes.

We had a celestial-themed invitation card depicting the constellations that would rise at the time of our wedding pheras.
The mehndi was at my Nani's home - as an ode to my childhood memories - with an Anaar Baug that had natural elements – like half-cut pomegranates, bright red roses, and finely ripened grapes, keeping it vibrant yet minimalistic. The exotic fresh and dry fruits, and flowers amid a natural backdrop of beautiful green plants in the garden made for a statement seating arrangement tying the entire look together.
For Haldi & Mayera, when the most important ingredient of the event is yellow, we added a generous splash of lilac and have some fun! Keeping it traditional yet contemporary with the décor and of course, complemented by my lilac-mauve lehenga made from my mom’s 31-year-old engagement saree.
We hosted a pre-wedding dinner that was a surprise for Parth(my husband) from me. It was an ode to his passion for stars, constellations, and deep-sky objects. From his favourite constellations on the cushions and the table toppers to a star-lit wishing corner, we also had a life-size moon installation put up as a backdrop. It was a full moon day, with the moon rising right in front of our installation. Call it a coincidence? We call it destiny!
For the Shaadi, ever since the first meeting with my wedding planner, I was sure of one thing – I wanted the Shrinathji element in my chauri. A trip to the Nathdwara temple in Rajasthan, conversations with the pichwai artist, picking up jewels to put on the crown, and counting days to see the final result – the Shrinathji ‘Mukharbind’ on the backdrop became the highlight of the event with people sitting and gazing at the outcome. Ideally placed in the center of the chauri backdrop, in an apt way to shower blessings on us as we took our vows and started a new chapter together, the shades of orange and pink in the décor complemented well to our intimate Gujarati wedding function.

About WedMeGood

Our wedding dates got fixed in July 2021, and as you know, the second wave of Covid-19 had just got over, with life getting back to normal. In this uncertainty, when everything was happening virtually, WedMeGood app became my personal wedding assistant, my personal stylist - for everything when it came to the latest trends, outfits, colors, jewelry, etc. Instead of visiting various shops and browsing for wedding lehnga, I used to open the WedMeGood app and blogs and read about what's in to get an idea of what will suit me. This helped me a lot, and in fact, I was so sure of the color palette of my Shaadi lehnga, that I tried just one outfit and finalized it. Many people go through a lot of stress deciding outfits, and jewelry, for pre-wedding and wedding functions. But all thanks to your blogs, I had so much clarity on what I want and what I absolutely do not want, that my stress level was close to zero when it came to wedding shopping and crucial decisions. Kudos to the WedmeGood team!

Vendor Reviews

Hyatt Regency, Ahmedabad - With multiple event spaces, and open and closed venues, Hyatt Regency in Ahmedabad was the perfect venue for my winter wedding. Their cooperative team and culinary maestros make sure everything goes right on your special day.

Sajni Laxmikant - Before even I decided to get married to Parth, I had Sajni in mind for the makeup of my special day. Flawless makeup, no over-the-top look, and one that stays as it is, and doesn't get cakey - what more does a girl want?

Elysian by Fuhaar - I have always been a person who gives utmost attention to little details and emphasis on aesthetics - whether it is my Insta feed or then the decor for my wedding. Fuhaar Jhabak of Elysian events matched my aesthetic vibe, and it was like working with a friend!

Memoire Photos - When we were about to begin the wedding preps, the first thing we did was contact Memoire. Both of us had seen their work before in various weddings and simply loved the candid shots, and the authenticity they brought into their work. We are absolutely delighted with the outcome of our wedding and cannot thank them enough for capturing each emotion forever from our most special occasion.
