Effortlessly Stylish Wedding In Goa With A Pretty Benarasi Lehenga!

BY Latha Sunadh | 09 Apr, 2018 | 20646 views | 4 min read

If you go to weddings for the pretty outfits, trust us, you landed in the right place. This eclectic wedding in Goa kept our spirits high with outfits and styling that was so on point we are swooning . We absolutely adored her chunky, almost tribal jewellery on her wedding day paired with the classic , minimalist banarsi lehenga , and her  beach party lehenga with that stunning blouse . The decor with mogra at the wedding was a stunner and added to the rustic, innately Indian feel. The venues, Park Hyatt Goa Resort and Spa and Grand Hyatt Mumbai (Reception) provided the best backdrop while Photography by The Photo Diary by Monisha★ 5  kept it simple and effortless!

Meet Sanaa and Parth

“We had a lot of friends in common and Parth had sent me a Facebook friend request when I met him simultaneously on a dating app called Hinge. On our first date, he was jet-lagged and seemed extremely boring. I decided not to meet him again but we stayed in touch. One day, while we were chatting, he asked me to meet him for a little while. I was hesitant but I gave in and that was our second date. It went really well and I thought he was lovely and interesting. Slowly, it all began to come together and after a month of dating, we took a trip to Goa together. Soon, on my birthday, he took me to Kashmir and popped the question on the top of a mountain. It took me by complete surprise! He was really nervous throughout the trip as it had all been planned by him. But hands down, it was definitely an unforgettable moment for us.”

From The Bride:

I’d often traveled to Goa and always wanted to get married there but I never really discussed this with Parth. Once we started planning the wedding and looking for destinations, we finalized on Goa since as was convenient for our guests to fly down. Parth is very particular about planning. He wanted a resort close to the airport and keeping all factors in mind, we finally finalized the Park Hyatt Goa Resort and Spa.

On the first day, the sundowner with the beach as a backdrop for our Mehendi was beautiful. The color scheme was white and there was a bar and lots of cabanas. The best thing about this evening was that my brother-in-law hired a saxophonist and the DJ kept everyone dancing! I wore a gorgeous Sabyasachi lehenga for this function.

For our Sangeet, a band called Faridkot played at our function and made it truly memorable. Our bartender was another highlight of the evening. He made sure everyone got a taste of the variety of drinks he had to offer – from a Nutella shot to bubble gum flavors. We also had DJ Amann Nagpal who did a fabulous job of keeping the party going well into the wee hours of the morning. I wanted to feel comfortable in my outfit on this evening so I chose a unique Patiala creation by Sabyasachi.

Our entry at my wedding was a high point. We arrived with much fanfare and then settled down to a beautiful Jain ceremony by the beach. The wedding just had a beautiful vibe to it and at one point our loved ones were moved to tears watching us wed in the serene surroundings. While I wore a Raw Mango creation for the ceremony, Parth looked every bit the suave Maharaja in his outfit.

Soon after the ceremony, it was time for the after-party; glamor and glitz with all things shiny was in order for the evening. The party was ethereal and extremely chic. My outfit was a creation by Gaurav Gupta. For the evening, the band called ‘ONEmpire’ performed and then we had DJ Sandy playing all night. The highlight of the evening and other pre-wedding functions was this guy we hired from Surat who is famous for knowing how to whip 300 different types of egg dishes. Although we arranged for only 4 or 5 varieties for the night, his dishes were a hit for the guests who just needed a quick bite after a night of drinking.
