BY Apoorva | 16 Apr, 2020 | 2729 views | 4 min read

Quarantine for brides can be a blessing in disguise for some! While we know that coronavirus wedding cancellations and postponements have created a lot of hassles of some couples, brides to be who are tying the knot later in the year and are quarantined at home can look at this as that big pause to indulge in some self-care. We understand that wedding planning can be crazy hectic and while salons are shut, you can still emerge out of this quarantine with amazing glowing skin! How? Here is a perfect guide on how to get glowing skin as you stay at home!

Pay Attention To What You Eat

Your skin reflects on what you put in your body as much as what you put on it. Since you can’t go out, you will not be eating outside food which is a big yay! But you have to ensure that you don’t binge eat or eat junk food at home either. Eat wholesome food, simple but nutritious. Start your day with a fruit or soaked dry fruits. Include lemon sherbats, buttermilk, curd, kokum sherbats or any local and seasonal drinks in your diet throughout the day as the heat increases.

Dance It Out

When you exercise your skin releases toxins which not only help your skin look glowy but also helps in keeping your skin firm and taut! WedMeGood Instagram is hosting tons of live sessions where you can dance or even indulge in some fitness training. Or simply blast off your favourite song and dance to it. 30 mins of any exercise a day is perfect for happy skin!

DIY Facemasks

Nothing says glowing skin like a homemade face pack. There are tons of easy to do face pack recipes that have simple ingredients like curd, honey, cucumbers – things that are easily available at home even now! Take this time to make and apply one at least 2-3 times a week. Ensure that the ingredients that you are using are suitable to your skin type!

Talk To Your Dermatologist

If your dermatologist is available to talk to you on a video call, talk to them about the basic dos and don’ts for your skin. They know your skin the best and their professional advice will go a long way in getting that clear amazing skin that you are looking at!

Skincare Routine

Always wanted to do that lymphatic drainage facial massage at home but never had the time? Now you have it! This is a great time to religiously do your skincare routine, in the morning as well as night. Ensure that you cleanse, tone and use a moisturizer on your skin even if you aren’t stepping out. Indulge in a sheet mask or two once in a while. Use all those skin care products that you have been hoarding. Try that Korean skin care routine that you have been eying from ages.

Take Your Vitamins

Taking your regular multi vitamins prescribed by your doctor are essential at this time! Your skin will need its much needed dose of vitamins to keep your skin healthy and acne-free. Ensure that if you are on any existing medication for your skin, you continue that even when you are quarantined!

Sleep Well

Sleeping and waking up at the same time everyday has multiple benefits, including great skin. While we understand that you have to see the latest Netflix series, we recommend that you don’t let it interfere with your sleeping patterns. And since you don't have to rush out anywhere in the morning, a good 7-8 hours sleep is a great idea. A good sleep routine will help you with maintaining that a lovely glow on your skin!

Here is the ultimate guide on pampering yourself as you are quarantined at home!
