Let's get something out of the way. We have a girl crush on this bride- right from her chunky mehendi jewellery to to her oxblood and baby pink lehenga and her makeup- everything was so on point. We can see why-she is the brain behind Cord Studio- our favourite leather accessory brand. Also majorly on our lust list - the breathtaking draped mandap on the beach . Photography by Rohit and Rahul Lal Photography captured the sunset hues and the exquisite detailing beautifully.
Meet Neha & Pranav
"Our meeting goes back to our post graduation when he finally struck a conversation with me on the last day of college. The instant spark got both of us glued to our BBM's (yes those were days before whatsapp) followed by a date in Khan Market. It was around that time that I had got a job in Bangalore and was ready to leave. The time spent in Khan market that day is definitely why we are together today. That encounter had so many emotions - we laughed our hearts out, discussed about our fears and adventures, shared our dreams and the uncanny similarities in our personalities made us realise that there is more to just the 'spark'" explains Neha.
"With me in Bangalore and Pranav in Delhi, the best way to have each other was a long distance relationship and that for us was such a new and a beautiful feeling where we found us experience emotions we never did - the anxiousness before making a trip to the each other cities’, the unadulterated and excruciating love every time we were together and the sadness before leaving the city. The 2 years of long distance made us realize how much we can miss each other. It was after that when I decided to shift to Delhi and everything came together," adds Neha. The MehendiThe Wedding
From The Bride-to-be:
"A beautiful close knit affair with a lot of fun, laughter and warmth is what I always imagined for our wedding and we got a lot more than that. The pheras at the beach were our favorite out of all. Taking vows at the mandap in the most idyllic setting seemed straight out of a fairytale. Perfect sunset, pastel hues, the shehnai playing in the background and the sound of waves made for a moment that will last us a lifetime. Having all our loved ones around us at this moment just made this even more special.I always knew what colours I wanted to wear on each function! One thing I wanted my wedding outfit to be was: ethnic and traditional. So I kept it classic with a deep maroon Lehenga, a pastel embroidered choli and blush dupatta! I always imagined myself as a bride with a Mathapatti. My jewellery was bought over a year from different places but very thoughtfully put together. Shree hari Diagems at Green Park , Delhi gave me exactly the kind of heritage jewelry I was looking for!" says Neha."For the Mehendi I kept it quirky and fun with a muted self designed Mustard Lehenga along with a multi Colour choli to give that ‘kitsch’ vibe! I love phooljhadi for her gota jewelry and it went so perfectly with my happy and colourful mehndi vibe! The Cocktail outfit was a Blush colour embroidered with gold and antique nakshi and beads with customized embroidered earrings to go along! A lot of credit goes to Savleen Manchanda, my makeup artist for making me look exactly how I imagined!" adds Neha.Vendors: Venue: Cocktails at Marbela Beach Resort; Mehendi & Wedding at Riva Beach Resort Photographer & Videographer: Rohit and Rahul Lal Photography Makeup: Savleen Manchanda Bridal Outfits: Mehndi and Cocktail outfits are Self-Designed; Wedding lehenga by Poonam & Meenu Groom Outfits: All Self-Designed Decor: Nisha Srivastava of Shubharambh productions pvt ltd Invitations: Girls Side Invites by Aishwarya Rathore , Boys side Cord Studio Jewellery: Shree hari Diagems
