Mauritius wedding with absolutely stunning decor

BY The WMG Bride | 26 Aug, 2015 | 9077 views | 2 min read

I am going to be day dreaming about this decor for the rest of the week- that's for sure ! Right from the sweet peaches and pinks at the beach wedding, to the ultra glamorous but tasteful purple and gold at the post wedding events, and the quirky mad hatters pool party thrown in the mix for fun. Kavya and Rahul's Mauritius wedding is equal parts gorgeous and equal parts quirky, with Devika Narain working her magic at the stunning venue

Meet Kavya and Rahul

Kavya says "So both Rahul and my parents were looking for a suitable partner for us. On new years eve,  a friend of mine (the only common friend Rahul and I have in this world) started telling me that he has found me the right guy and that he thinks I need to get to know him better. So that’s when we first met. Our friend, Vishnu, arranged for us to meet. The next day Rahul took my number from Vishnu and texted me “hope you had a fun night and reached home safe”. From that one message, all it took was 4 months for us to tell our parents.

Those mini hats and heart-shaped sunglasses add the perfect quirk factor to this "Mad hatter tea themed pool party"

Vegas Night

After a lot of options we finally decided to stick with Mauritius. Then it all got crazy (as it invariably does with Indian weddings) right from décor to clothes to menus and invites,  time just flew and before we knew it we were in Mauritius celebrating with our closest friends and family.   I wanted to look different at every function and I didn’t want any two styles to be similar which I why I chose very different designers for the events.
