BY The WMG Bride | 25 Jul, 2015 | 9888 views | 3 min read

Don't we all just love being the first ones to know  those up-to-date trends ? Totes! So that's why we decided to ask our friends over at the Vogue Wedding Show to give us update from the designers showcasing there. From Sabyasachi to Tarun,  - these designers know just what makes the perfect lehenga, so here we go!

Tarun Tahiliani : French knots, pearls and beige lehengas

4-designertrends-003 "Buoyancy, lightness, finesse and froth match the mood of today’s new generation Indians who prefer comfort and fit over heavy, cumbersome old school bridal and occasion wear. Panelled veils, jackets and lehengas in beige on beige on Basra, Basra creams in french knots, tiny pearls and more are what I see this season. Wedding wear is all about individual taste but in recent years there has been a tilt towards lighter and more structured styles. The building blocks of every bridal trousseau is very personal. I think it should include a wonderful selection of sarees and few very heavy pieces, or ornate pieces to your individual taste, for your very special functions"

Anita Dongre: Pastels, Floral Embroidery , Dhoti Skirts

5-designertrends-004 "This year has seen a stylish comeback of floral embroidery and prints. Crop tops and jackets paired with dhoti skirts make for a unique statement look. The palette in vogue is cream and pastel shades that are offset by a lot of computer embroidery and dazzling gota patti work"

Manish Malhotra: Blouses get sequinned, fringed and off-shoulder

2-designertrends-001

"The top trends are bright colours for women that includes, shades of blues, midnight to powder pinks and a lot of yellows. Slim pants, crop tops with sequins or fringes, off shoulders, long skirts as an ode to lehengas are top trends, too. When it comes to trends for men, the bandi kurta look or kurta on kurta look in corals, yellow and blue are unique"

Shantanu and Nikhil: Metallic Patterns & Structured Silhouettes

3-designertrends-002 "Bright colours, gold accents, delicate metallic patterns and structured looks with the signature Shantanu & Nikhil drape"

Sabyasachi: Return of the 70's

1-designertrends "The return of ’70s fashion, which means floral lehengas with high shine and shimmer" These designers will be showcasing at the Vogue Wedding Show-  a 3-day ‘by-invite’ only luxurious wedding exhibition showcasing the latest and most exclusive services and over 45 coveted brands in the bridal world.  The show is taking place between 7th to 9th  August at the Taj Palace New Delhi.
