A good friend once told me that the ritual of getting married should be as mundane and intimate as your morning cup of tea with your partner. That, it shouldn’t be a public event or something you should keep on a pedestal or even a milestone to define the intensity of your relationship. It’s shouldn’t come as a shock or a surprise to be getting married to the person you love. I mean, didn’t you both see it coming? Didn’t you both sign up for it? How relaxing it is to be so secure within yourself and someone who feels the same way. No drama. Just a bunch of close people who you love celebrating love with. Hearing just the right amount of glasses clink and laughs you can recognise.
