This Couple Took Their Vows By The Beach A Year After A Pandemic Court Marriage

We are sure there are so many couples in the same boat as Pritisha and Amay! Couples who got married during lockdowns no thanks to the pandemic- but that was not how they wanted to get hitched! And now that the pandemic has put a pause on things for a while, they decided to go ahead and have the destination wedding that they wanted to have in the first place- a good year after their court wedding! We loved this cute celebration by the beach in Goa which looked like a hoot for everyone!

Meet Pritisha and Amay

Amay and I swiped right on a dating app; however we didn’t really speak much via the app as I was doing my “background research”. He just moved back from the US where he lived for the last 11 years so I knew he was assessing his options. Once I knew he was a genuine guy and kind of cute, I casually started liking his Instagram pictures in the hopes of getting a response. A couple days later, he messaged me on Instagram to check what I was doing that night and we were both coincidentally at bars across the road from one another! He came to meet me immediately. Although we were with friends, we spent that entire night talking and felt an amazing energy between us that we’ve never felt with anyone else before. In fact, we took a picture together the first night we met, which I have hung up on the walls of our apartment. We started dating and he stood by me like a rock through the toughest of times (I lost my father in early 2020).

From The Bride:

After almost a year of our court marriage, Amay and I decided to have our wedding and celebrations at Caravela Beach Resort, Goa on the 6-8th of Dec, 2021. Due to the emerging Omicron scare, we decided to keep it more intimate and “low-key”. Since we hadn’t really met anyone apart from close friends and family due to COVID the past 2 years, many of our guests would actually be seeing us as a couple for the first time. As a result, we both had a clear vision of how we wanted our wedding to be – we wanted every guest to leave the wedding feeling as if they have known us right from the start of our relationship. With this vision in mind, we knew that we just didn’t want a vendor-client relationship with the people we work with, we wanted them to be a part of the celebrations and WedMeGood reviews helped us plenty to finalize our dream team. This meant we were heavily involved every step of the way from shortlisting and choosing vendors to finalizing the venue and décor to even the entire experience!

Soumak and his team are not only great photographers but also great people. They have and eye for details and are hands down the best at candids. We were lucky enough to find them on the Goa vendor list.
The cherry on the icing was that they did a two day extensive pre wedding shoots for us and even entered the water to capture us surfing!

Makeup Artist: Minette Pereira Makeup Artist

Minette the magician! I couldn't have asked for more. Absolutely loved each of my looks. She comes with her team that is dedicated and very friendly. It doesn't feel like you are meeting your vendors rather feels like you are chilling with your friends who are not only making you look pretty but also feel pretty on your special day. Further, she uses the finest of products like - Tom Ford bronzer(one of my favs)!

DJ: Dj Ryan Pinto

He played for us for two nights - cocktail and sangeet and knew exactly how to hold the crowd till wee hours. His genres varied from deep house, tropical house, old school hip hop to classic Bollywood. Something for everyone!
