Varsha & Harshit were not just lucky to have found each other, but also lucky enough to plan and execute a royal wedding with social distancing, and maintaining all safety protocols. When the COVID hit last year, we were saddened to see that the big fat Indian wedding started looking like a distant reality but we were able to flatten the curve once and Varsha & Harshit took the exact advantage of that.
When the lockdown happened in April 2020, Varsha made full use of it and started planning the wedding to the T, from photographers to outfits, she did it all! The result? A stunning celebration in the middle of a Rajasthan fort that was no less than a royal affair. Shot by Shashank Issar Photography , who not only managed to capture the exquisite beauty of Varsha as a bride but also the sheer love the couple have for each other, this wedding before the second wave is a reminder of all things we love about the big and grand celebrations!

From The Bride:
Me and Harshit (my husband) met through our grandfathers. They always wanted this match to happen and without telling anyone we got talking on Facebook and kept meeting once a month for a year. He used to fly down from Malaysia. I knew it was him when I realised he’s exactly like my dad (which girl doesn’t want her partner to be like her dad :p)
We decided to take this forward. We got engaged and then this Corona virus came into our lives. Very very tricky situation, I didn't know how to go about. So, I decided to keep my planning on and will see whatever happens. I was always excited to get married and wanted to have a royal wedding affair.
It took 8 months to plan every detail. From photographers to videographers, my wedding song , venue, decor, invite, room hampers, welcome gifts, return gifts, the welcome mala, pooja thaal, jewellery, my trousseau and most importantly - my outfits! I used the lockdown in planning my wedding so I was quite happy with the lockdown. I am a sucker of all things royal and antique. We came across this beautiful fort in the heart of Rajasthan - Ranvas, Nagaur. I could imagine myself getting married there.
Coming to my outfits, I made sure all my outfits were in sync and royal at the same time. It took me months to finalise on my outfits as I didn’t want to compromise there (you get married only once, make sure to fulfil your dreams)!
I am from Delhi and Harshit is from Jodhpur, we wanted to have a destination wedding where we ourselves can enjoy every part of the wedding. Most importantly we made sure the guests could have a holiday experience and be relaxed. The wedding took place on 7th Dec 2020 with around 300 guests. We made sure every detail was planned properly (if you fail to plan, your plan fails) I decided to create my own wedding song “Tum mere hue” which was a gift to my husband.
I guess I had the perfect wedding I had ever dreamed of. Couldn’t be more happier.
