#Trending: Zardosi Belts On Bridal Lehengas

BY Latha Sunadh | 26 Jun, 2016 | 3373 views | 2 min read

Beyond the usual lehenga + anarkali + sari fare, there hasn't been much happening in the bridal style department.  But at WMG we look for teeny tiny style ideas that really make a difference to a bridal outfit. It could be a tassle or a gota ring or even a neat clutch and now, there's a new entrant into this zone and that's the zardosi / embroidery belt that we seem to spot on every bride these days. Know all about it and how to wear it - it's the next big thing to shit the bridal style scene. OmbrébyHJ-122 OmbrébyHJ-125

What's a zardosi belt? Just a belt made of the same cloth and embroidery as your lehenga / anarkali / sari. It comes as an addition outside your outfit and it matches your ensemble. 1456738405_0_Couple_Shoot_022 1456738657_1_Mehendi_539

Where can I buy it? What will it cost me? You can buy it with the lehenga if the store offers it, look for a set that has it. Or ask your tailor or your designer to make one for you in the same design. The single belt will probably cost you nothing, just use the border of your lehenga instead of getting new embroidery done. You can buy them at Pernia's Pop Up Shop, there are a variety of belts you can use with any of your outfits.

Who invented it? I'd like to go with Sabyasachi Mukherjee★ 4.9 . His collections always had these little belts that added so much charm to the outfit. Anarkalis and saris too had these belts so it gives a nice shape and silhouette to the outfit. That said, we've also seen them on the ramps of Rabani and Rakha★ 5 and by Sapana Amin. Would you try this new trend?
