Amanat Gill was my make up artist on my wedding day and she was brilliant at her work. I loved the way she worked, so professional and she also made me very comfortable. Getting your make up done requires a lot of patience and she did not even let me realise the time. It was a lovely experience with her. In short - amanat is a perfectionist. I’m not really a makeup person but she made me feel really comfortable with all that make-up on. Her work is subtle and does it exactly the way you like it. My eyes were sensitive to the brush so she used her fingers to put the makeup and i was highly impressed as my eyes stopped watering like that. If you are looking for someone to doll you up for your D-day ... look no more, cause Amanat is without a doubt the best you can ask for. She made sure that my entire look was not only beautiful but super comfortable to carry all through the hectic day. My make up ,hair and draping was all done as per my request and not for a moment did i feel like taking it all off (usually the case with brides after a hectic day in a heavy attire). Amanat took special pain to provide me with a gajra for my hair as i did not want roses.. though a small detail it shows how seriously she takes her clients.** (Her hair expert takes max 10 minutes to do his job and that too with perfection) Also special thanks to her mom for being around and making sure everything happened timely, in fact i was the first one to get ready on my wedding day, waiting patiently for others without any last minute chaos. I don't know where to begin from!!! Its been a month that i got married, and this is a super late post! Ok so all you ladies reading this review or trying to look for a markup artist, this is where you should stop your search!!! Amanat is not just a makeup artist, she is way beyond and to me she is now a friend! She did 3 looks for me- sangeet, church wedding(my husband is a catholic) and a Punjabi wedding!! And trust me, she gave me absolutely different and great looks each time. She was open to my ideas and created looks better than i imagined..oh and amazing hospitality is what you get when you are at her studio..right from tea to toast, to water bottles with straws to make it comfortable and convenient! Who wouldn't love this pampering!! She has a great team- and i would especially like to mention the hair stylist Sameer, who did a fabulous job with my hair! Well well well! Here i am writing about my experience with this beautiful lady in question. I booked anat for my makeup for both wedding and engagement and she was phenomenal with her work.Shes a thorough professional and yet has a personal apprpach to every client. Event wise breakup Engagement: my engagement makeup was the just the way i wanted subtle yet classy. She knows how to highlight your strong areas of face like for me were my eyes. I still cant get over the halo effect amanat. You surpassed my expectations.she made a perfect combination of highlighted eyes and nude lipstick. Believe it or not I carried the same. Makeup for my mehndi function which lasted till 5 a.m Wedding: Unlike the other brides who prefer to do various hairdos on wedding i wanted a traditional look for my hair with lots of gajras and a very traditional makeup top. She again surprised me with the makeup and not to Mention her hairstylist sameer and maya who were too good with their departments. Simply amazing! I have no words to express how happy I was with the make-up Amanat did for me for my wedding. Being a non-Indian and wearing very little make-up in my daily life, I have to say I was worried how I would look and wether it would be too much. Besides being a wonderful makeup artist Amanat is a wonderful person as well. She made me comfortable during the makeup. She is extremely meticulous and professional - two things that really set her apart from other make up artists I spoke and met with while doing my search for a makeup artist for my wedding. Everything prior to the wedding was done in a timely manner and she was extremely communicative - I appreciated this, since I do not live in India. I worked with her for 3 looks - my Mehendi, Cocktail reception, and the Wedding. Every look was unique and worked really well with my outfits and face. While I had shared some ideas of what I wanted, and my preferences in general, she is a visionary when it comes to creating unique looks. She created a playful daytime look for my Mehendi which brought out the colors of my lehenga perfectly. For my cocktail, she creating an ultra glamorous look - one that I hadn't anticipated, but loved! Amanat is the most talented makeup professional I've come across. Her work is pure art. She gave me two different and absolutely spectacular looks for two different ceremonies while keeping in mind the colour of the outfit I wore. She understood perfectly what I wanted. Amanat did my wedding make up. It was a day wedding and she was the perfect person to have carried that off. She blended the colors beautifully as i wasn't the traditional bride who went with reds and maroon's. Instead i chose a green and pink lehnga and she did a brilliant job in helping me carrying that bridal look. Also she was amazing at the hair do.
