Makeup was one part of my wedding that I was extremely nervous about, but Nikita, Priyanka and Anuja turned out to be a dream team! They had a trial with me, where they tried on some looks based on preferences and recommendations, and gave me a list of flowers required so that I could arrange for that on time. For my Punjabi evening wedding, they gave me smoky eyes, light lips look with carnations and baby breath, and I loved how it turned out! Nikita worked on my face and Priyanka and Anuja handled my hair. They styled my draping in a beautiful Sabya style for the lehenga. For the Marathi morning wedding, I had a fresh pinkish-neutral look with traditional gajra and I was ecstatic! Nikita could not come for this appointment due to an unfortunate accident, but Priyanka delivered a stunning look! Anuja gave me a nice bun with gajra. I wore a 6 yard saree that was draped traditionally. With limited number of hands, they gave me a crowd-favorite look! The best compliments that I received were about how I looked so much like myself but enhanced! I do not like the insane transformative before-after changes that some makeup artists put on their Instagram and Nikita's team dislikes that as much! They believe in natural features and skin shining through and they made me feel like myself but prettier! They are also very adaptive depending on the lighting, and if you want some changes, and even will turn the styling around to make you look your absolute best! I would definitely recommend Artistry by Nikita/ Makeup by Mirror Stories if you like beautiful, enhancing makeup. The team puts you at ease and are so fun to hang out with! I think one of the most crucial decisions for any bride to be is to choose the right make up artist. I'm glad that I was able to find Nikita. She was patient with me to understand my requirements. She's an absolute delite to work with,from my make-up to hair everything was handled by her and she gave me three unique flawless looks for my engagement, saptapadi(pheras) and antarpath( varmala).
