So I hadn’t had a great experience with my engagement makeup which was done by another artist and this is the first thing that I told Avantika. I had been very stressed about the bridal makeup since I have a somewhat problematic face which needs expert makeup. Avantika is very professional and in all the chaos that surrounds the bride while getting dressed she ensures that no part of the "running late" is because of her. She did my makeup for my sangeet and wedding. For both the functions I had photos of what I had in mind and she was able to execute the looks. I could tell that she's on-trend with her skills as she was able to pull off the smokey eyes I wanted for my anad karaj. Her hairstylist needs a bit of guidance and therefore it's not a 5, but she's right there so gets what the bride doesn't want and can explain it to him. I've heard of other makeup artists asking for lighting to be provided on the day, but Avantika brings all her equipment with her and uses good quality make up.

Avantika was the makeup artist for my engagement and wedding in Delhi. While I am satisfied with her makeup, I am really disappointed in her team. They did not put false eye lashes on me, I have never seen any parlor/makeup artist not use them, but they just didn't. The hair stylist really needs to be changed. My sister and I went for a simple blow dry, but even that was so untidy and unfinished. Even before the function started, the hair looked frizzy and it is showing up in pictures. The same guy was so lazy, he didn't want to change my nail polish on the second day, he said he will just put a new coat even though there was a difference in the shades of pink. Inspite of telling him multiple times on hair requirements, he wasn't clear at all. The accompanying lady, put my toe rings so tight that I was unable to walk, my Mom had to loosen them for me in between the reception. We paid a huge amount for the makeup and for that we expect much better services from the whole team.

Discovering Avantika for my engagement and wedding make up was definitely the highlight of my wedding planning process. I liked her from the word go. She made me feel like a princess for both my functions. Her make up is light, breezy and impeccable. She was available for her views and opinions regarding my outfits, jewellery et all. As a bride planning my wedding from overseas searching for make up artists in India and trusting them completely was definitely a stressful thing for me but I always knew that I wanted a natural, fresh and clean look for my wedding. With Avantika, I found someone who not only knew exactly the colours, freshness and simple but regal look that I wanted, she was also perfect in suggesting what accessories would work with my outfits and how I was planning to carry out my looks. We did a trial over a weekend that I flew to India for 2 of my looks and I don't think I've seen smokey eyes and the noir-glam eyes done by anyone like Avantika. Anyone getting married out there knows how important it is to have a great make-up artist on your D-Day! Not only do they help you look like a million bucks, but the pictures last a lifetime and you want to look gorgeous in them. I knew from the beginning exactly how I wanted to look on my wedding day. Luminous but not cakey, natural but at the same time spectacular..and above all else, I wanted to look like the young bride that I was. After extensive research on whose the best in the business, and more than a few trial runs of make-up by apparently the "best in the country" I came across Avantika Kapur, through Chandini Singh. Even before the trial make-up was over I knew no one else would do. The girl is a genius! An artist in the truest sense! Very deftly she gave me 2 beautiful looks to choose from, and I knew instantly it had to be her. She flew to Jamshedpur for the 2 functions that were to happen on the same day, and a 3rd one in Delhi, was a thorough professional and completely involved in what I was going to be wearing, how I wanted to look etc. And kudos to her, she gave me 3 completely different but utterly gorgeous looks--which is a feat in itself.
