I booked komal for my reception makeup. Makeup was ok but she didn’t complete the hair style properly and left as they were getting late. Due to this, it ruined my function pictures as the hair was not set correctly and after function, I politely asked for my pictures that she took, there was no after makeup service and no response at all. Very unprofessional, was in hurry to finish off and leave.

I had contacted this make up artist for booking a particular date in May for her make up services. She asked me for 5k for blocking the date. Honestly I thought it was too much because of the current covid scenario,what if there was a lockdown on that day? Would she give me my money back? So I nicely asked her if I could pay 2k for now.I had asked her to consider. She plain bluntly told me that iam very irritating and that she doesn't have the time for all this. Who speaks like that? She could have told me nicely that I had to pay 5k. There was no need to be so rude. Plus I first contacted her on 8th January, and she confirmed on February 2nd that she had slot available. She kept me hanging till then.I kept calling her and messaging her for almost a month. But half the time she didnt respond to me.I never said i wouldn't pay 5k. After all this she tells me that she is not interested in continuing the booking as she finds me very irritating. Being good at something doesn't give you the right to be rude. I feel I wasted my time, when I could have found someone better.

I am from Delhi and had my wedding in Mangalore. Completely clueless about the place I stumbled upon Komal’s profile on Instagram. Initially someone else was to do my make up but because of some issue she had to back off and Komal came to my rescue right 2 days before my wedding day. Since the wedding was North Indian style in Mangalore, I was very concerned since it’s not the usually style that they follow there. I can not thank Komal enough for stepping in and turning me into this beautiful bride. It’s hard to explain but till now so many people still compliment about the wedding make up and that how beautifully she did it. Also how she draped the lehenga and got me ready over all. Extremely punctual about time, Komal was at our hotel at 4.30 am that is commendable and very professional. The only thing that truly matters is that someone does your make up right for the one special big day. I think only pictures can explain how perfect it was. I wanted it to be subtle since it was a morning wedding. Please have a look. My engagement make up along with groom make up was done in alot of hurry! The 3 rating is only for the good eye make up. The face was pale; no pigmentation, lipstick was screwed up, I had to try applying from my side. Hair was fine but the flowers were pinned like not so neatly, stems popping out. In the groom make up, my groom was poked in the eye with the foundation brush as “the artist” was in a hurry to leave elsewhere. The saree draping was done by another lady which was imperfect. The drapes were not in line. I couldn’t really make out all this until I saw my pictures. I’m really disappointed about my big day. I could have had better.
