Hi Essex Farms,
Essex Farms is located in the heart of Delhi's south, close to major commercial towers, prominent residential colonies, and historical landmarks such as the Qutub Minar. Essex is known for serving in dream and green, with hospitality services that are personalized. Essex Farms has six event venues available, including the Party Courtyard, which is their only outdoor setting and can accommodate approximately 250 guests, and their three other indoor settings, Queens, Empress, and Princess, which can accommodate approximately 150 guests each on their own and 750 guests collectively.
One of the services provided by them is on-site accommodation. They also have an in-house DJ and allow in-house and outside catering services are not allowed. In-house alcohol is available, outside alcohol is not permitted. Their team of experts does all the arrangements to their clients specific wants and visions, ensuring that their wedding is just as they imagined. They work with a variety of budget groups while maintaining high service quality. They passionately work towards beautifying the venue with lights, flowers, and colorful dcor items and transforming the venue into the dream destination of the bride and groom. They have a lot of experience in this domain as they have a good reputation in the world too.
Some of the places where they have done their amazing work earlier are in Delhi. This is one of the major hotspots for destination weddings and challenging weather conditions. Therefore, covering a wedding there is a commendable job. The transportation costs and outstation stay charges that have to be borne by the client are one of the conditions they have for covering destination weddings.

We were in the process of finalizing Essex Farms for our wedding functions. The location is undoubtedly attractive, which initially made us consider it despite coming across several negative reviews—especially concerning food quality and parking issues. Parking Concerns: It’s true that the parking situation here is far from ideal. The space is limited, valet services are often slow, and the main road outside the venue is usually congested. It felt chaotic, but we were still willing to overlook this because the venue itself looked appealing. Food Tasting Experience – The Real Red Flag: Here’s where things took a serious turn. Essex Farms does not allow food tasting unless you pay the booking amount upfront, which we found highly unreasonable—especially for something as big as a wedding. Since we had already heard negative feedback about their food, we insisted on tasting it before committing. After visiting multiple times and following up consistently, they finally agreed—on the condition that we pay ₹2100, which they said would be adjusted later if we booked them. We agreed. But during the tasting, we were shocked to find a dead fly in one of the dishes (photo attached). The food was covered and came directly from the kitchen—so there’s absolutely no excuse for such a serious hygiene lapse. They tried to explain it away, but frankly, nothing can justify what happened. Astonishing Lack of Accountability: What’s even more outrageous is that they still had the audacity to charge us ₹2100—despite serving us food with a dead fly in it. No sense of accountability, no gesture of goodwill—just a shocking level of indifference. This wasn’t some minor mistake—it was a serious hygiene failure, and yet they acted like it was business as usual. For a venue that claims to be premium and hosts hundreds of weddings, the way they handled this was nothing short of appalling. Food Quality – Far From Impressive: Sadly, the rest of the tasting didn’t make up for it either: The noodles were unbearably salty, completely inedible. The gulab jamun was overly sweet, again inedible. Other items were average at best—not even close to what you'd expect from a place with this kind of reputation. And remember, this was a small, curated portion for us, prepared during a live function of 300 guests—yet we found a fly in it. One can only imagine the kind of food being served to the rest of the gathering. Final Thoughts: To anyone considering Essex Farms for their big day: please insist on tasting the food beforehand, no matter what. Don’t go by reputation or appearance alone. Food hygiene and quality are non-negotiable, especially at weddings. To the Essex Farms team: This feedback is not intended to defame but to strongly urge you to take your responsibilities seriously. Hygiene, food quality, and customer care need urgent attention. No matter how impressive your decor or location may be, if your food lacks basic hygiene and your team lacks accountability, nothing else matters. For a venue that hosts once-in-a-lifetime events, the current standards are simply unacceptable.
