It was my brothers wedding and I was sitting many timezones away worried to bits about my look for the day. Then a friend recommended Rimanka to me and everything from there was a breeze. She was able to find the right package for me and assured me everything will be well taken care of. On the actual day I arrived early and she and her team was ready and waiting for me. Rimanka took her time with the eye details and suffice to say the end result was stunning. I also appreciated how she pointed out the strengths of my features and said how she is only just highlighting them out instead of many other places where they undermine you by speaking only about the flaws they correct. But on the day of the wedding , asked my cousin to get it from the decorations . I loved how she glammed some of my models up and went back to her a few times for "just because" glam come natural look. When I got engaged I knew Rimanka would be the perfect makeup artist. It is true, when moxsa does your makeup, you feel like there is barely anything there and yet you are beautifully transformed. Rimanka truly provides a personal and professional service, I traveled to her to do a trial run and she went through my make up with me and we created a lip color that was exactly what I was looking for. She traveled to my wedding to do my make up and 4 of my bridesmaids. I gave her pictures of my bridesmaids before and she worked with all different skin tones and needs. After I did some photos with my bridesmaids she did touch ups, and she made sure we all had tiny refills on lip color. A friend advised that makeup artists book quickly, so I was in panic mode when I hadn’t booked one yet, 5 months before the wedding. Rimanka, owner of Makeoverxpress, responded to my inquiry immediately and we set up a trial and I a few weeks later. Rimanka came recommended to me by a friend who had got her makeup done in her wedding. From the first text interaction we had, she was an absolute doll! We had a bunch of changes occur between covid, a bridesmaid dropping out, venue changes, etc. and Rimanka was responsive and flexible with it all. The day we met to review booking contracts, she went over all the details of the wedding day, time frames, what everyone wanted, etc. She was upfront about all of the costs and there were no surprises at all. For my trial, I came with two bridesmaids to her wonderful studio which is in New Town and she was a blast. We spent hours together laughing about everything, she had a lot of great recommendations for hair and makeup, she is incredibly knowledgeable and insightful in what she does. The day of the wedding, she came to our airbnb and had to do 6 bridesmaids and myself - each girl wanting something different, of course. Even when we had girls of different skin color and type, she knew what products to use, had foundations to match, everything. She was so flexible and had tons of ideas of what looked best, matched everyone else, etc. We also just loved having her around us. It felt like she was another bridesmaid in the room, we adored her and are so grateful for her! She was on time for each of the girl. When I first started to look for hair and make up artists for my wedding it was very overwhelming with how many people there was to choose from, however as soon as I spoke with Rimanka I was immediately put at ease and felt very confident moving forward. On the morning of my wedding Rimanka and her colleague arrived right on time and began setting up and getting us ready. Having Makeoverxpress recommend by an old friend, I was at first apprehensive as I had heard so much about how important it was to get the right make up and hair for your big day. I asked Rimanka to do the hair and make-up at my wedding as she had worked on a friend’s wedding the year before when I was a bridesmaid, and we had all thought she was great. Throughout the whole process she was a pleasure to work with. We arranged a trial at my house a few months before the wedding and I was really pleased with the results but wanted to make a few tweaks nearer the time. I decided that I wanted to wear a hairband and change my make-up slightly and Rimanka adapted completely. She was a very calming influence on the day, but such good fun at the same time.
