She conducted the ceremony with utmost grace, and perfectly balanced equal and modern ways of marriage with keeping customs and rituals alive. It was the most beautiful ceremony, everyone (and I mean all 200+ of us near the ceremony stage) were thoroughly engaged and this is possibly the first time everyone paid attention and enjoyed the marriage ceremony. Both me and my husband knew we wanted to keep the ceremony that represented us as a couple and equal partners in this - and she absolutely brought that out! Right from kids to grand parents, everybody could relate to what she was saying and was inspired by her words. This makes traditions and customs much more relatable to today’s generation. Shruti conducted the wedding rites for my daughter. It was the first time a stereotype was being broken and a woman pandit was conducting the wedding ceremony. She did it with so much grace panache and style that everyone was glued to their seats listening to her. Plus she has a very pleasing presence. That was the first time. After that there as been no looking back as she has officiated at 100+ weddings. Shruti is a thinking priest who has extensive knowledge but also knows how to apply the knowledge so that we benefit from it. Acharya Shrutiji performed our rituals in the most beautiful way possible. Well before our actual wedding day, she sent us a step by step detail so we could understand the meaning and significance of everything. She also took out the time over calls to address our queries and concerns, to which she was very open minded. In the end, it all came together perfectly. We were glad to have Shrutiji shepherd us through our rituals as we start a new chapter in our lives. She really broke all gender barriers and biases in this male dominated profession by officiating our wedding ceremony. Very grateful for and inspired by everything she did and stands for!
