My sales assistant was GAGAN KHANNA who is nothing but rude, arrogant and a big CHEATER. For the kind of styles the store doesn’t have, he will force his styles on you. I placed my order in August and contacted them in early October in regards to the progress. I had asked him to keep both dupattas in red, but again like he forced and did not pay attention he made them in contrast. They don’t mention any details or changes agreed upon during trials on the hand written bill (colors, fabric, dupattas, blouse) and that’s how they cheat you. Worst nightmare was when he told me that they don’t stitch the blouse for anyone. He had just tricked me during trials by taking my measurements and saying that the blouse will be stitched exactly the way I want. I collected my order in November, my bridal lehnga was packed in a cheap red bag & not a trunk. The lehnga didn’t look as appealing as it was when I tried it. Another cheat was that during trials, he mentioned that the dupattas are hand embroidered but what I received were machine sewed. These stores are so greedy that customer satisfaction means nothing to them and only because their managers don’t question the dishonesty of their staff to crack sales. My nightmare didn’t end there, when I finally took the blouse piece to my boutique, it was so confusing for them to understand the front, back & sleeves. And to top it all, the embroidery wasn’t sewed as per my fitting. They had to cut it all out to make it to my fitting. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

I got more than I was looking for in the price range and the good thing is they are open to design change if you want to modify something. The service was great. They delivered the lehenga before hand that was the best part.

Went here to look for lahengas for my wedding, it was actually a really big waste of time. The salesmen seem quite arrogant and seem to have this attitude as if they don't really need customers and as if customers are lucky to be coming to their shop. They took hours, maybe 2 hrs to show us 5 lahengas, service was extremely slow, it was like being in a slow motion movie. Prices also seemed overpriced.. the only reason they get 1.5 stars is that the few pieces we did see were really good designs, if anyone wants exact designer copies or close to designer copies, they have it. It's a shame about the customer service.

Worst place to buy a lehenga. The owner and sales will be nice with you when you are buying the lehenga. The final lehenga will be completely different from what you expect. The owner will misbehave and take advantage of your urgency in terms of the piece. The shop is over expensive and you will definitely get something better in a shop otherwise. Never got to this store. Worst experience ever. Stay away from the sales guy called Gagan. Also all the good reviews are written by their own people.

Excellent work but they delivered the outfit on my engagement day in the evening.One suggestion to all the brides, please tell wrong dates to your vendors, at least 20-25 days prior to you function date coz still you will get the outfit a day before you tell your function date. They delay your delivery a lot.

What to expect- hand embroidered intricate lehengas, mostly re-do’s of big designer names. The ancillary staff was refreshingly pleasant and cooperative. If you are one for exclusivity and creativity, I would shy away from this place. While the owners are thorough with their business, they can be rough on the edges and definitely make the experience a little less enjoyable. Overall- would recommend this place for a visit in the wedding process, but don’t expect to be mindblown.

Such a horrible experience with them. I have heard a lot about them. I gave my own design for the making of my bridal lehnga and the way they messed up is the worst experience a girl could ever have before her wedding. My blouse colour came out to be different than ordered, my entire duppata colour was different and moreover their salesman was like "ye lehnga ka design thoda plain kardu, abhi time toh hai nai". At the time of order [2 months date], we were given all false hope and we trusted them. I had to postpone the wedding because of these people as all my gold jewellery was made as per the lehnga design. The amount of patience I showed them was heights. It costed us a lot to change the wedding date. I strictly recommend brides not to trust these cheaters who are over sweet when you arrive at the shop but once they know you are trapped, the client is left with no other option. A wedding is one of the most important day in a girl's life and you messed up with a bride. I hope the almighty is seeing all this. Trust me, all my nights have been sleepless just because of them but I am sure none of their employees even realises the pain I am still going through. Heard some good reviews about the place (mostly from articles which I now realise could be paid PR) but the experience was horrible. Clothes are fine but overpriced and the staff is so arrogant and unprofessional with no sense of responsibility. God forbid, if there is any fault in your ordered clothes, they will simply ask you to accept your fate and move on and customer service is non-existent. Definitely a no for the most important outfit of your life!

We got strong recommendation about this place for lehagas, but we found the place was pathetic. We were not attended properly and the staff was very rude. They were not ready to show any item as they said we are full and not taking any bookings. We will never recommend them to anyone.

So I went directly to them in Chandni Chowk and they did not disappoint me. I took the risk on actually customizing a Anarkali gown I saw there into my wedding lehenga but in a completely different color. Was nervous how would it actually turn up. But they did a great job. I loved my outfit and so did so many people attending my wedding. Only problem I had was the work they did for my choli. It wasn't as per my measurement and I had a lil trouble getting it stitched since OPJL doesn't stitch lehenga top for you. Overall, great collection! I also bought one of my trousseau saree from them and people have been complimenting me for that too.

From visiting fairs and exhibition all around Delhi to visiting all the big/small designer stores and the other store like frontier raas, CTC etc I went all around. But nothing seemed to please me. I decided to go to Chandani Chowk to visit OPJL particularly after it was recommended by a friend. As I entered I saw huge piles of lehengas lying all around. I met the store owner and explained to him what I was looking for. He showed me a few pieces after which I knew I would find what I wanted right here. As luck would have it I found the perfect lehenga and I am extremely glad of my decision. It was the most stunning piece I have seen till now and I highly recommend the place.

When my wedding date got finalized the first thing comes into my mind was my wedding lehenga and I don't have much time to roam. So I decided to go opjl. I reached @11 and shop was closed I waited and I can proudly say it's worth waiting. I am very specific about my requirements that's why it take only 2 hour to choose me my lehenga. Mostly many designers took minimum 40 days but they deliver my lehenga in just 30 days (tension resolved) and I requested them some extra accessories and they provide me those too. Next time I'll definitely visit opjl. (1 more happy customer added to your list opjl :-) )

<p>I knew I wanted something colorful and fun for the Sangeet and I knew I wanted a mango-ish tone for my lehenga. This is where trekking through Chandni Chowk in the rain proved to be an awesome decision. We ended up at Om Prakash Jawaharlal and with much skepticism asked him to show us his collection. A few outfits in, out came this lehenga in a beautiful mango tone with an itty bitty border that I hated. The salesman agreed to customize my outfit with the border that I liked but said that he couldn&rsquo;t get the outfit to us before we left Delhi. I decided to have some faith and let him ship it to me and when I finally got my outfit from them, it was perfect and exactly what I wanted.</p>

Very recently my sister got married and three of my outfits were from Om Prakash. I personally would recommend them because they are very good with the quality of their outfits. Being the bride's sister I also had many options to choose considering I did not to wear something too heavy. I would definitely go to them for my wedding shopping as well.

<p>There is this whole hysteria about &lsquo;designer outfits&rsquo; &ndash; people come up and ask you &ldquo;Who has made this&rdquo; fully expecting a high end designer reply. But I was clear that I wanted a beautiful outfit- whether it was from a designer or not was secondary so I had no qualms about going to Chandni Chowk. I visited possibly every designer store in Delhi and Mumbai but was left disappointed because I couldn&rsquo;t choose from a limited variety or from single panels so Im glad I was open and took that trip to CC. I bought a Mehendi Layered Anarkali and gold lehenga from Om Prakash Jawahar Lal.</p> Source

When i heard about this store i wasnt very sure about it. But i went to this store with my maasi who was here to buy lehenga for her daughter in law. They showed us lehenga of all the famous designers. And to my surprise all were amazing and the work on lehenga was very neat n clean.. The prices were a bit high but when you get an amazing product you are ready to spend. So we bought a sabhyasachi lehenga and my bhabhi loved it.

I picked a golden mustard colour lehengas from them and quite happy with the decision. The finishing was good and delivery time as well! Though the prices are very high!

All time FAVOURITE bridal store in Delhi.. They have the prettiest lehengas I have come across.. Been there twice and have had a great experience with the staff and the owners daughter Reha.. Can't wait to get married myself and wear one of their lehengas for my own wedding.. A MUST visit for all the To Be Brides and family..

<p>Such a corrupt place to shop at. They would quote the price as high as 1L and then bargain and come down to 70k. What they will show as a sample they will make the pice with lesser cloth to save their effort and cost. And the staff- utterly mannerless, they talk with gutka in their mouth and attitude with that of the owner</p>

<p>The prettiest lehengas and the sweetest Uncle will attend to you. They are extremely warm with a great variety of lehengas. I bought my lehenga for my sisters wedding from here and uncle was very sweet and helpful in helping me decide even though I took ages.</p>

I am n love with this shop.They have great variety.I had gone to all the shops in Delhi..no shop was left (started from frontier to asiana)..this was the last shop..and i had no hopes..bt still i went?.i was attended by Reha (owner's daughter)?.wonderful person?.I bought approximately 6-8 lehangas from her?.my whole trousseau almost she's doing?.my whole family clothes she's doing?.they have great variety?..it may sound funny?.bt ya they have better stuff than designers also?..my advice:everyone should first go here?i would highly recommend this shop?.</p>

<div>I am in louveee with my lehnga. However, they almost made me cry for it. First they lost my lehnga. Then later got me a new one but didn't do the modifications as I had asked for. So basically I was still getting it fixed till the morning of my wedding!!!!!! My advice: be on their neck for the delivery and fittings.</div> <div></div>Source

While OPJL is the most talked about lehenga shop in Chandini Chowk, I did find it a little overrated! Plus, the amount of time they take to make a lehenga (atleast 40 days) is a bummer for a bride who needs to sort out her stuff in about 20 days (that was me) . Also in terms of prices, they aren't Chandni Chowk prices as the good stuff is all upwards of 80K

<p>FINALLY, after hours of searching a million shops I found a coral and mint colored lehenga from here. The daughters of the owner who run the shop are really nice and if you can get them to show you the stuff its much better :) . I do wish they put more flare in their samples- not that they are not flared out but in other shops the bakram used is much more</p>
