When they started the label in 2008, it was more if a whim. A chance meeting with an Asian American bride, a perfect place to host the line, a team of artisans ready with their craft and a seamless rapport with Indian couture, born through a decade of self dressing. She learnt the fabrics through scoring and touching. She learnt drapes and stitches from a seamsperson born with a magic thimble, and she learnt design through the visions in my mind and friendly body's to drape. An art director by day and fashion dreamer by night she delved into the changing face of bridal couture for the Indian- but not so Indian - bride, with our first foray in New York City.
