For the Nikah I went for an ivory white embellished Seema Gujral lehenga. And the lehenga was truly a dream! From the handwork to the fit, it was absolutely gorgeous. They were kind enough to customise the outfit as per my needs and the co-ordination with the team in Delhi was seamless. When I received the outfit, it was not an inch loose or tight, it was just the perfect fit. It was royal, sophisticated and so much more than just a lehenga. This outfit will always hold a special place in my heart.

I don’t even know where to begin with how poor my experience has been. First thing is - DO NOT ORDER DIRECTLY FROM THEM. Go through a retailer like Aza or Pernia if you really want a Seema Gujral design. Their customer service is the most unprofessional and ineffective I have ever had to deal with. I ordered a custom gown with my measurements and received an incredibly ill-fitting gown. The customer service team insisted it was made to my measurements and offered zero solutions until I threatened to leave an honest review (you can see how it ended especially since I am writing this review). Because they dragged their feet so long in “offering” to fix it (all while refusing to admit any culpability in what was clearly an oddly cut and tailored gown) I took it to my local, trusted tailor. Here is what she said was everything wrong with the gown: - it was cut poorly - whoever made it clearly didn’t stop to think whether or not it would properly fit a human body with how weirdly the shoulder and arm fabric was tailored - the original tailor failed to account for the fact that shrinkage happens when sewing on extensive beading - the zipper was about to snap because of how cheap it is Given these concerns and how long Seema Gujral customer service took (4 full days of back and forth before even offering to fix it for me) when I have a November 5th deadline for the dress, I paid my tailor to fix it so I have something to wear at my wedding reception. I asked customer service to at the very least refund me the cost of alterations I am incurring ($350 - which doesn’t include the hour I spent with my tailor here trying to figure out how to salvage the dress) and they refused. I do not think this is an unreasonable request when they know I have a tight turnaround AND dragged their feet on “helping” me themselves. What a joke of a company - I hope the designer takes a good stock of who she has working for her and realizes her team is sullying her brand and her name. Even though I love her designs, I am NEVER ordering a Seema Gujral outfit again. Please believe me when I say to go through a big retailer to avoid the stress and frankly, heartache dealing with this has caused. - Unhappy bride

For my sangeet outfit, best ever & super duper light!

I spent a lot of time and effort searching for the perfect reception dress and came across a very beautiful piece on Seema Gujral's website. It was definitely out of my budget but I fell in love with the dress. I was connected with Deepika on WhatsApp and placed my order - sent my measurements and the customizations I wanted for the outfit. I live in the US and was told that I would receive my outfit 6 weeks after placing my order. 6 weeks flew by and I received no update on my outfit so I started reaching out to Deepika. She would send me vague messages letting me know that my outfit was almost ready or would not respond at all. This happened for 2-3 weeks and then I escalated the matter. I was put in touch with Anita, who said she would take care of it and ensure I received my outfit. About a week and half, Anita sent me a confirmation of what my outfit looked like and the measurements - it was wrong. I had asked for a different style blouse and had provided Deepika with updated measurements shortly after I placed the order. I'm not sure how but Anita did end up helping me get the measurements corrected and the style blouse that I wanted - the outfit was shipped to the US about a week later. However when I received the outfit, everything fit except the skirt did not sit well - something was off. So I took my skirt to a local tailor, who upon examining the outfit, found that the tule was stiched in very incorrectly, which was why the skirt was not flaring properly. It became clear to my that my outfit was made last minute and carelessly. I informed Anita about this, who said she would look into it, but eventually stopped responding. So 1 week before my wedding, I had to get this VERY VERY expensive "designer" outfit fixed and had to pay out of pocket for additional tailoring (the tailor had to detach all the tule and re-attach it properly - he also removed about 6 ft of unnecessary tule). So in all my experience with Seema Gujral was incredibly disappointing and frustrating. I regret purchasing my reception outfit from here and would NOT recommend them to any future brides.
