Me and my husband live abroad, work full time, wished to have a traditional Kashmiri wedding ceremony in my hometown in Ludhiana. Ours was an Indo-German wedding and we expected guests from over 4 countries to be welcomed. We knew we needed support, while we are not physically present in India. We recently got married in a Delhi after postponing the wedding numerous times due to Covid. We're based in London and therefore depended greatly on Aanchal in many ways with all the planning. I have known Aanchal for about 14 years now but never did I think she’d not only help me plan my dream wedding but put up with all the adversities that came from time to time. Even though we’d mostly been in touch through social media, working with her on the foundation of our long standing familiarity was truly a memorable experience for me. Couple of great things about Aanchal – she knows the wedding market really really well, she’s straightforward, understands budget constraints, takes initiative and actively ensures that all goals are achieved in a timely manner. In addition, Aanchal is truly the kind of energy you need around you! Aanchal has been my support system throughout the wedding planning! For a bride like me who is not in the country, working full-time and has no idea how to go about this – she’s a perfect fit! I needed help with outfits, makeup artists and photographers – which was a lot to handle given the myriad options available! Based on my taste – which she caught on to pretty quickly, Aanchal managed to find the right choices within my budget. For outfits, she actually took me to each store in 3 days! Working with Anchal can best be described as inviting a friend to your wedding who, over several fun chats, figures out your vibe and makes those tiny details you imagined come to life. She’s the one who your mother takes for granted as the big day approaches, who helps the decor guy get it right, who gives you coffee when you have mehendi on your hands and makes you laugh when you’re stressing. During our interaction I found her to have insights that catered to various spectrums and income brackets. What was also very unique with Aanchal was her ability to reach out as a friend than turn every conversation into an end to end business talk. During our very fun chats she shared ideas on venue, outfit as well as make up artists in Delhi besides hooking me up with photographers who fit my budget. We hired Aanchal, aka The Millennial Bridesmaid, for my sister's wedding. We needed someone who could not only guide us about where to shop from and whom to contact for things like photography etc, but also someone who would hold our hand while we do all this and help us not lose it while planning a big wedding.
