A perfect wedding starts with the perfect planning team and that is no doubt Namrata and her team at 2FatLadies. When we started our wedding planning process a year ago we spoke to many planners across the city & the first meeting with all of them was the same i.e. them telling us about their packages and services. And then we spoke to Namrata who spent the entire meeting getting to know us as a couple, our families and our love story. That moment I knew we had found our wedding planners. Namrata never treated our wedding as an event or a business. Since our first meeting she has put us as a couple at the heart of the process and every suggestion she made has been tailor-made to our vision, story and personalities. Her people-first approach is her biggest differentiator and the rest automatically follows. Namrata has played the role of a friend, sister, confidant, family and much more for me and she has gone above and beyond in how accommodating she has been in managing all the planning within the constraints of our busy work schedules, time zones (my husband was planning this remotely from Canada) and every last minute demand I have placed on her. Namrata and her team (shout-out to Cean, Rahul, Akanksha and the rest) have been relentless every single day in getting us the best deals possible, maximising every rupee spent, suggesting the most innovative ideas to personalise our wedding and making sure that the execution on the day was absolutely perfect with zero hiccups. Her creativity and sense of aesthetics is beyond compare - her inputs on decor, menu planning, wedding stationary and all things design uplifted the output to a level I could not imagine. But beyond perfect execution of the event itself it’s Namrata’s demeanour and approach to dealing with families, friends and every person involved in the wedding process that really stood out for us. She is the calming force every bride needs during her wedding, she is the perfectionist that makes sure every wedding is a couples dream wedding, and she deals with absolute honesty, transparency and prompt communication which helped put us at ease and never left us wondering about what is happening behind the scenes. As the wedding euphoria settles and I reflect on our wedding, I realise that what seemed like the most effortless, fun and perfectly planned day for our guests was a labour of love at Namrata’s end - she and the team have put in so much work behind the scenes to orchestrate the most minute details but none of that effort or stress was ever allowed to percolate to us, our families or our guests and we were able to just focus on having the best day of our lives. Well well, where do I start? My search for a good wedding planner started as soon as my search for my life partner ended. It was very troublesome job to find a good trustworthy wedding planner until I spoke to Namrata from two fat ladies. She starts off with a detailed one hour customised presentation exactly based on your needs which we discussed a day ago and the moment the call got ended, I was totally convinced and excited to decide that we would want to get married with the help of two fat ladies. The detailing in job , the availability on calls/ WhatsApp irrespective of the hour, the calmness, the empathy, the understanding they have about weddings and customs is simply top notch. There would definitely be many good planners in Mumbai and surroundings but they would all be about business, two fat ladies is all about relation building , the last thing I’ve heard from them is talk about their business or trying to make us pay extra for something unnecessary. They were simply amazing and have helped us out of their way many a times. I am really lucky to have found Namrata and her team and it wouldn’t be an exaggeration if i said it wouldn’t have been possible without you guys. The wedding was completely international and we were clueless about vendors, contacts , costs etc. but the tables have turned just after a week of talking to them and me and my families were more than confident that we would have the best wedding ever. We started working with Namrata more than 6 months before our wedding. We found her online and planned everything with her remotely. She was always available to talk to us over a call and answer our million questions. She helped us with all the aspects around an Indian wedding - the recce, selecting vendors, negotiating with the hotel & the vendors, designing and printing invitations, and planning all the big & small details of the events. Her entire team was very helpful during the events, and made sure everything went smoothly. The event was far from any city, so everything had to be planned well in advance and the plan was executed very well. We would thoroughly recommend 2 Fat Ladies as the wedding planner for your wedding.

We found Namrata/2FatLadies through a web search in 2021, and she was very helpful from the get go. Even before we brought her on as a planner in 2022 she was willing to lend us advice. Being in a different continent, we were anxious about planning across timezones and many many miles. But having Namrata on board made it easy! She helped us with everything from venues to vendors to the minutia of day coordination well in advance. She is a skillful negotiator and helped us get good deals from our vendors. Once we arrived in Mumbai a couple weeks before our wedding, we were able to really see how the team shines, by how they helped us with all the things that we weren't prepared for, including helping family with their wardrobe, getting clothes altered in time, airport pickups for guests and so much more. On the days of the wedding, we were able to almost completely let go and let her staff guide us. Overall, we are super happy with everything. It turned out to be the best party we've ever had and such a loving event full of family and friends and fun. Even our guests commended the efforts of the planning team. 2FatLadies is a great fit for anyone wanting to personalise and customize their wedding. They pride themselves on being a boutique studio and are very receptive to feedback. Planning a remote wedding is not easy and there were definitely hiccups along the way, but we were able to resolve them every time and the big days were all the better for it. We came across TwoFatLadies while looking for a wedding planner based in Mumbai to plan our big day. Since we are based in US and have very little knowledge of the Indian wedding scene, we wanted someone who would guide us with budgeting, vendor negotiations and planning. Namrata and her team were very professional, humble, trustworthy and very flexible to work and helped us pull off this wedding in less than four months! The whole team has a lot of experience in this business and will go above and beyond to make sure everything is taken care of. Namrata is a genie! You ask for it and she makes it happen :) We don't know where to start. We were fortunate to have found Namrata during our wedding planner research in 2020, but due to the pandemic, we couldn't work things out then. She continued to stay in touch with us (which is so rare these days). So when time came in 2022, we knew who will plan our wedding. We made her job even more challenging by giving her just a two month notice. Namrata was very patient and composed with us, listened to our requirements and was genuinely invested in planning the wedding we wanted. From providing destination venue grids to figuring out local venue options (all within couple weeks and as per our needs), she did a commendable job there. We had a May wedding in Mumbai and we can't thank her enough for her recommendation to get a venue with both indoor and outdoor seating to accommodate unpredictable weather. She is an excellent negotiator with vendors and ensures that she provides the best value to her clients. Her decor ideas aligned perfectly with what we wanted as though she read our minds. Her suggestions on decor and giveaways were very unique. Our guests loved the little personalized perfume giveaways during the cocktail event. Namrata is hardworking, humble and a very calm individual who is very organized in how she operates. She keeps her calm even when things may not go as planned and immediately tries to find solutions to bring things back on track. We worked in different time zones but she never complained about late night phone calls and always made us feel welcomed. She provides quality service but is open to constructive feedback - which shows how much she cares about her clients' experience. Namrata also advocates for environment friendly decor/packaging and local artists/small businesses (who are great but may not have social media presence). Our amazing mehendi artist and our dhol walas were great finds by Namrata. Namrata is one of those rare professionals who goes above and beyond the client expectations. We asked for fresh greens and orchids umbrella for bridal entry - she made it happen (even though she had not done it before), color coordinated safas - she did that too, she executed every small detail such as right color florals, varmala details, sign board on entrance and every little detail of our decor with the decorators. We(and our guests) loved her little touches such as the floral cones hung on the chairs during wedding pheras. We originally had only signed up for her consultation service. But again - she went above and beyond by personally coming to the venues and ensuring all the set up and flow is in place. She also provided us with a shadow - Akansha to assist with all wedding stuff. Akansha was amazing, she took care of all small and big things while I got ready. She ensured I was well fed and hydrated amidst all the wedding craziness. She was incredibly SWEET and worked relentlessly to make sure we were comfortable through the wedding events. She also took some beautiful snaps on our phones which is great to view while we wait for our official photos. We can go on and on about how much we loved working with Namrata and her team. Her 45+ five star reviews say it all. Cannot recommend her enough. Very humble and kind professional with positive attitude and fantastic team! If you think you can take care of your “DREAMY” wedding on your own, maybe you can but getting a wedding planner on board is always a good decision and I could only get convinced testifying this because of TWOFATLADIES! Namrata along with my sister planned the most beautiful Muslim Wedding I could’ve imagined. To have a planner who is more enthusiastic than you to make sure your wedding Pinterest board comes alive is truly a blessing! The Nikkah Ceremony, the most important Muslim ceremony & my biggest fantasy growing up was executed so beautifully with attention to minor details, all thanks to the amazing team curated by Namrata. To handle my big fat family with guests coming from all over and especially with multiple last minute changes could only be catered by the TWOFATLADIES team! If you are searching the internet to find a good event planner for you and are unsure of how to down-select, here’s what I’d suggest you do: instead of checking the ratings out of 5 or reading all reviews, pause for a second and notice that very rarely do you find lengthy reviews that are positive. Long reviews are more often than not of people venting, uncommon is when someone is just so happy with a service that one takes time to sit down, pen everything they love about the service/product. With that, just check the length of reviews 2fatLadies have across media. You’ll find how much people loved working with them. The common feedback for this team is the “Will be done” attitude, the “calm/happy vibes” that this team brings in, the meticulous OCD manner in which they operate. Personally, I had hired this team for my wedding. You don’t need to be Mumbai based to enjoy working with them. Their service quality isn’t dependent on proximity to their home base. Namrata - She is meticulous, hardworking, calm, doesn’t lose her mind when things go wrong and rather operates in a very action oriented manner to help you sort stuff, very quick on her feet (even if you missed something and realize it’s impact on the wedding day, which in my case was food menu, she will immediately think of how to remedy it). What I absolutely adore about her is her ability to listen, process and in most cases somehow read your mind. I have attached few pictures of what I wanted for my decor - it is going to be hard for you to find which one was my inspo pic and which one is my actual wedding decor - that’s the level they operate at. Cean - She was my shadow to help w/ the wedding stuff. What ab absolute treat this young lady is. I personally got to learn so much from her all throughout the wedding. How to be polite, push back to vendors, be SUPER calm and incredibly sweet to people while also being a kickass boss lady. She doesn’t need to be told what to do - she just does it pro-actively.
