So the first time I spoke with Shradha, it felt like I am speaking to a long lost friend, she just got me. From an excel sheet of almost 50 wedding planners, the connection with them was instant and I am so glad that I went with my gut, it just said, they are the ones for you. This mom daughter duo is a force to recon with! Planning an elaborate wedding in Delhi, while working full time in Bangalore would have been impossible without the two of them, to be really honest they became much more than planners through the process of my wedding they worked like family, they became family, it still brings a tear to my eye, the lengths to which they went to ensure each and every thing was perfect and beyond what I could ever hope for. From hotel recces to taking me shopping for clothes, heels, Jewelery and even my chooda! to treating me to the best street food in Delhi and even getting my pag phera blouse made OVERNIGHT! they were there with me every step of the way. They knew when to chill and when to push us, making the whole process of planning very efficient but at the same time a comfortable experience for everyone involved. Shradha and aunty were loved by each and every member of my family, all my cousins want them to plan their weddings too! that is how impressed each and every one at our wedding was. We are yet to release the photos and videos on Instagram but once we do and you take a look I am sure you will understand what I am talking about (#shisauforever) The ensured to work within our budgets and find a solution to every problem, and most importantly with a smile on their face! I still remember Shradha telling me 'CHILL! you are the bride' a million times :D From selecting momos to the flavours of pav bhaji and Maggi at the pheras, Shradha was like the best of best buddies by my side, I didn't miss a best friend through the process, because she was that for me. From relationship issues to vendor issues to unrealistic expectations and finally making them happen! making this wedding happen! Words are not enough to express the love in my heart for her and aunty. We even had our own little bachelorette which was the sweetest, cutest thing ever! No matter what the situation, they were always honest and transparent, even if it sometimes meant giving us a different perspective or view point from what we had been imagining till that point. There is honestly so much to say, that's basically the reason it took me so long to write this post, I never knew where to start, From handholding us through each rasam and ritual, to endless calls on planning the PERFECT menu for each event, aunty and Shradha were a constant support. I am no easy person to deal with, but they found me vendors I ended up loving, who were as detail oriented as me and did a fabulous job, from the decor, to music, to giveaways, choreography, even our varmalas! my phoolon ki chaadar! Through the ups they celebrated and enjoyed with us and through the downs they held our hands and ensured we navigated through the situation beautifully. One situation particularly that I would like to highlight was that at 4PM just before my wedding makeup had started I realised that I had forgotten my pag phera blouse in Bangalore, I was a total mess, in tears, because I was re-creating a look from my MIL's wedding, she had gifted me her saree specifically for this event and I was horrified and clueless. A few calls and hugs later they had a solution! aunty had called everyone in her family, buas, chachis to find a tailor who could re-create my blouse overnight, and it was not just a simple solid colour blouse, it was red in front and green at the back and me being me, I wanted it exactly like that. They made it happen! 10 am the next day, aunty was in my room with the blouse, draping my saree and being a second mom to me. Shradha was there all throughout ensuring I don't cry or freak out and kept me posted of everything that was happening. Shradha even sat and decorated parts of my stage when we were running out of time during the wedding, that is the length to which they went to see a smile on my face when I saw the venue, they knew how much it meant to me and they just understood. Each and every element was looked into so critically and was detailed out so beautifully. Now when I see others around me planning their weddings/ events I really feel so blessed to have found them because not everyone goes in to the level of detail that we did, and they never made a fuss or objected, they made it happen. They even came up with innovative ideas and ensured our ideas become a reality, I really loved each and every moment of my wedding and my interaction with them, especially when I now see the videos, I really couldn't have asked for more! There is still so much more, so many more moments that come to mind, from Shradha being so candid and close to me all through the process, to giving me courage to finally tie the knot when I was literally almost having a panic attack before the pheras, and aunty checking up on me, blessing me and hugging me so lovingly each time we met. She always calls me beta and baccha, it really fills my heart up with so much love and gratitude. Just post the wedding I got so caught up in the new life and coping up with work that I wasn't able to justify my review, hence I delayed it till now, where I feel I have captured an essence of the love and effort by them that went into planning my wedding, thank you Shraddha and thank you Ashima aunty. No review and no words would be able to do justice to the gratitude I have for you guys <3 I hope Vivaha prospers leaps and bounds and more lucky people like me get to experience their dream wedding with the perfect planners! This Jan, I got to firsthand witness how perfect weddings are planned! Ashima aunty and Shradha did justice to whatever great things i had read and heard about them. Never for a single moment did I feel that I had hired external planners, they were as much a part of my family as anyone else. Watched Ashima aunty tirelessly standing day in day out to make sure there was no hiccup at all! She drove me around town buying the last pair of bangles/ accessories we forgot about, all the while ensuring there was no stress. We had such a lovely experience with Shradha and Ashima Ji's team. I'd strongly recommend getting them on board as soon as you begin to plan your wedding - they know what they are doing and will suggest the right way forward, providing practical advice and guidance along the way, whether it be vendor sourcing or logistics. What I loved most was that they were always available and needed very minimal guidance to get tasks done, making us aware of a lot of smaller technical details one may not have considered while planning a wedding. On the days leading up to the wedding, there wasn't a thing they said no to, and got every small problem sorted. I particularly remember forgetting about distributing a few return gifts on the day of the wedding. I mentioned it to Shradha just once, and the issue was managed effectively by her team in no time, with 0 follow-ups needed. Meet The Wedding Superheroes - Our entire wedding was planned by this mother and daughter team! Aunty Ashima & Shradha were instrumental in bringing together all of the lead up events, invitations, hotels, welcome baskets, transportation, entertainment, guest management, thank you gifts and even followed us shopping to make sure we got the best value for our money. During our trips to India leading up to the wedding (we live in Australia), we did a lot of wedding related things (of course) but we also did heaps of fun/spontaneous things with Aunty & Shradha and that took away the time-to-time “wedding stress” (let’s face it, we all go through this). From boujee shopping trips in Mehrauli, to our crazy ricksha rides in Chandni Chowk, to our many trips to Noor Mahal in Karnal and even our adventurous trip to Patiala where we found authentic Punjabi attire and jewellery (because I specifically wanted them from Punjab so they said let’s go there then) - they both made this all happen and accompanied me throughout. They were available 24/7, always responding to my calls and texts (sometimes I wonder if they even sleep). I was so impressed at the level of importance they both placed in getting to know our families (both my husbands and mine) and for delivering on every detail spot on to our interests. We were a bit hesitant to hire organisers in the beginning, but we were pleasantly surprised by their thoroughness,hard work and commitment. All the tasks given to them were managaed professionally without any hiccups. Event flow was discussed with them beforehand and they made sure everything runs smoothly on the day. They were always there to check on the venues before every event and were the last ones to leave along with us. We initially had our doubts that anyone could deliver on our requirements. We live overseas, and had 200 guests across 30 nationalities traveling from all continents, together with a large contingent of local family and friends. Our requirements for the wedding were distinct: dinner with speeches, seated wedding ceremony to be held in silence, Tuscan decor, etc. They delivered to perfection, with a meticulous understanding of our requirements; excellent recommendations for honest and professional decorators, entertainers, caterers, printers, transporters, etc., who they single-handedly supervised; and above all a tireless 24/7 effort during the final week to assure seamless delivery on all fronts. Shradha and Ashima are a great mother daughter duo. Though I could not book them for my sister's wedding as their dates were already blocked they still helped us alot in finding the right make up artist, photographer etc. They have great contacts, awesome team and more so they are realy amicable ????.
