We had hired event expertzfor my sister's wedding in kolkata. Initially, once we reach out to them, their self-proclaimed director, "Mr.imran initially initially painted picture that he will do everything required for wedding. We took their service to book a venue in kolkata for which he charged 5% of the booking amount. We were under the impression that basic event management service (like meet/greet guests, room checkin, food management) will be covered in the amount we paid. However, just few days before marriage, he made several false claims about bad management in hotel and tried to persuade us to take additional service from him to manage the event with an exorbitant cost on top of his initial 5% payment. Overall, they are just brokerage service providers who will provide contact of some vendors (like decoration, band, mehndi) and charge a commission. Due to the comission, vendors will ask more charge to you. Like, we booked decorators independently, which costed us 40% lesser than his vendors without compromising on quality. They don't work like a normal event management team and just bunch of people who will try to presuade you with false claims and hoax to take their service. Please don't fall prey to the 5 star ratinas like us and avoid them at all cost.
