My husband and I came across Royal Heritage Haveli (RHH) in December 2018 when we were looking for a venue for our wedding in 2019. We were speaking with RHH through an agency that was managing the property. We live outside India so most of our conversations with the agency and RHH were via phone calls and emails. Long story short, we had an agreement in place to do our wedding at RHH in November 2019 and had agreed via email and contracts in March 2019 which means we paid a portion of the deposit to officially book this hotel for our wedding. We planned to visit the venue in July 2019 to finalize the rest of the arrangements. When we visited RHH in July 2019, we were told by the GM, Rohit Sarin that the hotel was no longer managed by the agency and that it was now managed by the owner, Pradeep Singh himself. This was a surprise to us as we were not clearly informed either by the agency or the hotel that the management was returning to the hotel. On the second day of our visit, whilst we were sat discussing the different elements on the contract, we discovered that the hotel did not have the latest version of the agreement for our wedding which shows a slack in the way our wedding agreements were handed over. Upon discovering the new contract, the GM, Rohit Sarin started disagreeing on several elements of the agreement, eventually asking us to pay INR 900,000 more to go on with the wedding. The excitement that my husband and I went to RHH with had turned into days of stress, frustration and deep disappointment. We appreciate that such situations occur occasionally, but it is the manner in which you resolve issues that show a true spirit of a business. We even tried contacting the owner Pradeep Singh and his daughter Shambhavi Singh, neither of them had the decency to respond to our messages. We eventually decided not to go ahead with our wedding at RHH, not because we could not afford the additional amount of money that RHH demanded, but purely because of the manner in which RHH treated us throughout the 5 days we were there. We were treated with utter disrespect and were practically yelled at by the GM for no mistakes of ours. Apart from the both of us, my mother, sister and our wedding planner had to endure atrocious behaviour and unprofessionalism as a hotelier from Rohit Sarin and the owner Pradeep Singh for communication gaps between themselves and the agency. Cherry on top is that we did not receive our deposit of INR 200,659 back even though our agreement stated that a refund would be given if the wedding is cancelled more than 75 days before the wedding dates. We cancelled the wedding 134 days prior to our dates. The sole reason for posting this review more than a year later is because we really hoped that RHH would realise what they did was wrong, although considering that they haven’t even apologized to us for their mistakes, we wish and hope that no couple looking to getting married ever has to endure what we did. 1st edit: In response to RHH The last I checked, Wed Me Good is a free platform where customers CAN express their personal experiences so, as a customer, I don’t see how expressing my family and my experience of RHH’s treatment is seen as unacceptable? I do not represent anyone except my family and my extremely disappointing and unhappy experience in this review, the attached receipt of our ‘wedding deposit’ is proof that this review is from us as your customers as the receipt was issued directly to us, I have nothing to do with your opponent or the ongoing legal dispute you’re referring to. Please note that RHH were not even able to capture the correct wedding dates on our receipt. As customers, it wasn’t our problem on who was running the hotel, it was RHH’s responsibility to ensure a seamless experience for their customers when the handover took place. We do not know what happened between RHH and the agency but we do have proof that the agency, in specific Poonam Tipnis came back to us, apologized that this confusion was affecting our wedding planning and offered to help us find another venue for our wedding. We do not recall RHH being even remotely friendly to us or amicably trying to resolve the situation when we were there in person or in writing. We do remember Rohit Sarin and Pradeep Singh demanding more money to do our wedding or asking us to find another venue for the wedding. We did not receive any apologies or a ‘mutual consensus’ because in our last meeting with Rohit Sarin, he shouted in our face saying ‘Even if we can find adjustments to host your wedding, we don’t want to do it anymore’. I don’t believe any guest/customer would want to do their wedding in a place they don’t feel respected. In your response, you keep refer to a paid photoshoot. There was never a discussion about the photoshoot being chargeable. INR 150,000 is NOT a small amount of money which we would have agreed on verbally for a 2-3 hour photoshoot, we never received any information verbally or in writing that there would be a charge for the photoshoot. The only conversation about the photoshoot was on a WhatsApp group chat with RHH (screenshot attached) and a brief meeting with Rohit Sarin on the photoshoot day where no charges were mentioned either to myself, my husband or my mother. If you have any proof of our agreement to pay you INR 150,000 for the photoshoot, please feel free to share. It is truly amusing to see that RHH’s attitude has not changed in the slightest and that we continue to see you respond with hostility.

Royal Heritage Haveli

Dear Jinal, It was very surprising and disheartening to read your review given on 01.03.2021 on WedMeGood. It appears that you have completely forgotten the services against the advance money were utilised by yourselves for a pre wedding shoot, as well as the e-mail dated 28.07.2019 sent to you wherein the complete explanation was given. It is also clear that the present false review is not the work done by you but it seems that it has been created deliberately by our opponents, the ‘agency’ you have so diplomatically mentioned, to tarnish our goodwill. We have already clarified in our previous correspondence that the contract dated 07.02.2019 was entered between you and one Ms. Poonam Tipnis who was the Sales Head appointed by Niraamaya Wellness Retreats Pvt. Ltd. The contract dated 07.02.2019 clearly stipulated the exercise of two options but none of the options were exercised by you. On 15.07.2019 you forwarded a contract dated 11.02.2019 with only one option and this contract also clears the name of Poonam Tipnis from Niraamaya. The contract dated 11.02.2019 is not in our records. The Royal Heritage Haveli at the relevant time was being operated and managed by Niraamaya Wellness Retreats Pvt. Ltd. and accordingly the discussion and the contract was entered with you by the officials of Niraamaya only. The owners of the Royal Heritage Haveli were not party to such contract as it was on Niraamaya to operate and manage the Royal Heritage Haveli at the relevant time. However, due to internal reasons, the agreement between the two companies did not work out & due to negligence on their part there was improper handover of your file. At present there is a legal dispute which is pending between Niraamaya and the owners of Royal Heritage Haveli and the matter is subjudice. Being as understanding of the matter being beyond your contract, we did our best to come to a mutual consensus. I say mutual because you seemed to be satisfied when we agreed on the way forward. On 15.07.2019 you along with your mother and Mr. Ravin visited our hotel and sought a permission for pre-wedding photo shoot on payment basis and you agreed for the payment. It is surprising to note that on 17.07.2019 you have done complete photo shoot in the premises of hotel and further you again visited the hotel for further discussion on 18.07.22019 and 19.07.2019 wherein you were made aware that the terms of the contract entered by Niraamaya Wellness Reiterate Pvt. Ltd. were required to be fulfilled by them and from the advance amount of Rs.2,00,659/-, an amount of Rs.1,50,000/- plus 18% GST amounting to Rs.1,77,000/- has been deducted on account of the fact that a successful pre-wedding photo shoot was undertaken by you on 17.07.2019. I therefore caution you that you immediately take steps to withdraw the false and erroneous review regarding Royal Heritage Haveli given by you on WedMeGood with immediate effect failing which the Royal Heritage Haveli would be forced to take legal action against you in the appropriate Court.
