From 4th to 11th December 2016 we spent 6 wonderful nights at the Falaknuma Palace Hotel having decided to do something special after being married for 60 years. From the time we arrived at the Palace's first entrance from where we were taken up in a beautiful horse drawn carriage to the welcome we received we were treated like royalty. The fragrant ambience of the palace, the service rendered to us, the food and the qawali music were superb. We had extra help from the historian in the hotel who looked through many books to find my grand father's name in a book as he was a civil engineer who had worked under the 6th and 7th Nizams.
