My wedding took place at The Raj Royale Lawn on October 29, 2023. The shagun envelopes we received as gifts were stored in an envelope container. However, when my family went to retrieve the envelopes from the container, they were nowhere to be found. Worried about this, we brought the matter to the attention of Yashraj Singh, the person in charge of managing all events at the Raj Royale Banquets & Lawn. Upon our request for CCTV footage to investigate the disappearance, Yashraj Singh assured us that they had recordings and all necessary information. However, when my family went to review the footage, the staff was uncooperative and displayed rudeness. They asked us to return after two days, because their screen was not functioning properly. After a wait, we were informed that their HDMI was not working, and they had ordered a replacement from Mumbai. Furthermore, their staff was on Diwali vacation, and we were asked to return after November 20, 2023. Despite our continuous coordination, it seemed that the management and Yashraj Singh had other plans. On November 23, 2023, when my family returned to view the CCTV footage, the manager told them to wait for Yashraj Singh as he would arrive in an hour. However, after a wait for 2.5 hours, Yashraj Singh did not show up. Upon inquiring again, my family was informed that the camera at the reception stage was not operational during our wedding, and therefore, there was no recording. Shockingly, the Yashraj Singh Father displayed a lack of concern, stating, "Joh krna hi krlo" ("Do whatever you want"). Frustrated with the situation, my family filed a complaint against The Raj Royale Lawn. Unfortunately, no action was taken by the police despite multiple follow-ups by my father. Despite subsequent visits to the police station, satisfactory answers were not obtained. Escalating the complaint to a higher officer, they accompanied my father to The Raj Royale to view the CCTV footage. Much to our disappointment, Yashraj Singh, his Father and manager repeated the same excuse, claiming that the camera at the reception stage was not working during our wedding. Astonishingly, the police took no action and left without addressing the situation. The evident lack of professionalism displayed by Yashraj Singh and the staff of The Raj Royale is both glaring and unexpected. In a hospitality business that heavily relies on positive word of mouth, their subpar and under-trained approach is disappointing.
